Remember what I said about how Twitter is useless for self-promotion even if you have a big following there? There's data showing BlueSky, even with smaller user numbers, generates way more referrals than Twitter purely because it doesn't suppress links. Stop saying you need Twitter for promotion.

If you are a foreigner, you probably should not visit the U.S., but if you absolutely have to, you should “enter” at a pre-clearance site (like Ireland or Canada) so that you’re denied entry in a place where the U.S. government won’t detain you or confiscate your property.

Masnick's point about this guy just riffing darkly is correct, but the clipped bit is also a funny reflection of how venues that depend on wingnut welfare largesse are effectively outside best practices. A big following on Twitter is worth zero in traffic, due to their policies. Not the case here.

Suikoden, perhaps best summed up as “Pokémon meets Game of Thrones,” is one of my favorite video game series. So it’s been a pleasure to play through the new remaster of Suikoden 1+2, which comes out tomorrow. The bugs are fixed, the entire script is reworked, and it looks gorgeous. Highly recommend
