My wife started a business selling handmade jewelry in 2021. Things were good and even on a slow day at the farmers market made $800. She closed up shop in December because for the past year she was barely covering market fees. LA’s economy has been rocked by COVID, Hollywood strikes, and inflation.

Nico saw MFFLs praising his work the past few seasons and said hold my beer.
I've never seen someone destroy the goodwill they've built up so quickly.

As a Mavs fan, though I loathe the Spurs, I've got nothing but love and respect for Pop.

Yeah absolutely. Time to get serious now. No more flammable gender reveal parties in parks and maybe limit fireworks to designated areas like the marina.

I would love the city to use my tax dollars for a public awareness campaign to get people to start being careful with fires during Santa Ana winds.

It’s insane. You just aren’t safe if you’re near a mass of vegetation/brush.

I’m just waiting on the words “Starring Rob Schneider” to hit. Should be any day now.

Yeah I’ve been waiting on the 4K version to go on sale for Blade Runner and Parasite’s just good to have in any physical media library.

Thanks for sharing this! I had a hard time deciding between Nightmare and The Exorcist for my horror pick.

I was honestly surprised when I read they used actual marble and not that cheap quartz stuff you see in most of the new constructions/remodels nowadays.

Insane how they won’t blame the consultant class and Kamala’s naïveté of palling around with Liz Cheney and chasing after the mythical Democrat-curious conservative voter.

Good to know we don’t just rely on bombs anymore to export “democracy.”

God damn it. The least talented people in the world are about to have their careers resuscitated.

Brendan Small did Metalocalypse after which I guess was more of a passion project given his musical background.

I almost wish her game did well and she had a stable career in the video game industry so we all wouldn’t be subjected to this failson (faildaughter?) spectacle.

It’s gonna get even better when global warming really thaws out the ice caps and whatever they’ve got hiding in there. Fun times ahead.

Excellent piece! When I saw Salah’s name I knew exactly what you’d be referencing. Hopefully Kyrie can be Luka’s Robertson and help it click for him. Luka and Mo are both similar in that they aren’t the most vocal organizers and lead by example, but Luka could do with emulating his professionalism.

I totally get what you’re saying but if the choice is between a leftist vs libertarian shooter, I’d much rather not provide ammo for the bipartisan bludgeoning of progressives.

The irony of if he was born a decade earlier he’d have been a Silicon Valley CTO is kinda funny.

Imo progressives dodged a huge bullet. Can you imagine the outrage against leftists from both political parties?

He bought it in 2018 and I doubt that was his primary motivation at the time. But I think his bet on conservatism is going to backfire spectacularly and as an Angeleno it’s going to be a pretty big loss.
