... I think that's what it means but we seriously can't even get a clear statement out of these people that we don't have to decipher? Trump won twice speaking at a 4th grade level guys

Am I an idiot or is this statement purposely opaque? "I am voting for it" - "it" means the War Powers Act, not the strikes themselves, right?

The refusal to even try to get Congressional approval is the point for this admin. By not asking, they remove Congress from any role in the process whatsoever, and it's one more unitary executive make-it-up-as-you-go, unlimited power.

The folks at the Dispatch were 1000% on board. They were debating who gets the credit for how well things are going in the middle east.

The same people who lost to Donald Trump twice want you to shut up and do what they say because they're the only people who can beat Donald Trump.

Enough time and enough ketamine has gone by that Elon forgot an entire Knives Out movie was made to parody how pretentious and stupid he was

It took 3 1/2 months for a legal resident who committed no crimes to be released from jail after the U.S. Govt kidnapped and disappeared him in retaliation for his speech.

So much going on beneath the surface of Carl Gottlieb's script. How much does Brody being an outsider from a big city (which is commented upon) and Hooper being Jewish (which is not) have to do with why the townspeople ultimately don't listen to them? It's never answered, but it's there.

"The government possesses no special authority to
go back on its word to a court... To say to these Defendants, whose lives are at stake, 'The joke is on you. You shouldn’t have trusted us,’ is hardly worthy of our great government.”

I'm sorry but that's just a district court order, and as the Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth testified under oath before Congress yesterday, we don't have to follow those.

He's here to do the same thing JK Rowling does on Twitter. Just get absolutely dunked on over and over, ignore all of those people, then pick out randos with 12 followers who say something stupid that they can quote post and play the victim.

Frankly, I thought the opinion of the court of appeals in your home state in March striking down a ban on gender affirming care was much more detailed and persuasive. Obviously, you've read it and can "engage" with their findings. www.supremecourt.ohio.gov/rod/docs/pdf...

His point is that non-white voters thought George Floyd deserved to die?
Or that the people who protested his murder weren't sincere, they were just being performative, and a lot of non-white voters saw through the performance... which then caused them to vote for Donald Trump?

The electoral map is going to be unwinnable for Dems after 2030 because no one can afford to live in blue states and instead of addressing that we decided to do this instead.

Drugs. They'll call it "exhaustion" but guarantee that it's drugs. Every one of these gestapo goblins is tripping balls all day every day so they don't have to think about all the puppies they've murdered.

Of course - this is the administration's response to every case.
They never defend anything they do on the merits because they know none of it is defensible. It's always just "you can't ask those questions." Every time.

"Lay[ing] a hand on a law enforcement officer" is not a crime. You will, in fact, inevitably do this if multiple goons are dragging you away. You cannot avoid some part of your body making contact with some part of theirs. It's entirely a question of intent.

I cannot imagine anything living in my head as rent free as Bluesky lives in Thomas Chatterton Williams's. The idea that there's a left-wing alternative to twitter where people don't have to listen to or respect his opinions so clearly just infuriates him and he's so bad at trying to hide it.

The shooter was not "appointed to a political position." He was one of 18 people appointed in 2019 to a four-year term on the Governor's Workforce Development Board, which is a nonpartisan, nonpolitical advisory committee that deals with employment policies.

In 2022, a right wing terrorist named Anderson Aldrich killed 5 people in a mass shooting at Club Q, a gay bar in Colorado Springs. In the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, Republicans lied that Aldrich was trans. Once the case was over, they dropped the lie.

In 2020, two right wing terrorists assassinated a federal officer named David Underwood in Oakland. The entire online Right flooded the zone blaming BLM... until the two right wingers who did it were arrested, at which point they just never talked about it again.

This is an anti-abortion U.S. Senator deliberately providing political cover to anti-abortion terrorists to murder pro-abortion lawmakers. Mike Lee supports this murder, is absolutely gleeful that it happened, and wants more of them.
