My sister and I had a Strawberry Shortcake compact with thick red lip gloss inside. We would put it on as lipstick, blush, eyeshadow šŸ˜† a favorite childhood scent memory!

It reminds me of the documentary Sign Painters….how computers just wiped out their entire industry. But they are still out there, still painting, still teaching, and there’s a whole new generation of sign makers keeping the tradition alive.

Growing up, my parents had Kliban books and I would often sneak them away to peek inside šŸ‘€ Still have the books, and I can’t resist a cat when I find it. Thanks for your contributions to the world, Derf! Rereading Punk Rock and Trailer Parks right now!

More awareness needed for sure. We didn’t recognize signs of mini strokes in my mother in law, she was hiding them from us. Then she had a brainstem stroke that changed everything.
