Why do some people think women as contenders for presidency are the problem? UK, Germany, Mexico, India, Finland, New Zealand, Argentina, Chile, and many other countries have all had women as the heads of their state. I'll continue to vote for a women candidate if they continue to be qualified.

The primaries played out. She won. Sure, there were voices telling Bernie she won already and he should drop, but he ran til like 2 days before the primaries, because he didn't have the votes. And "liberals are as much to blame as maga" is an emotional hyperbole.

Idc, because even if it's true (and i don't believe it - i thought he was going to win because I'm not living in a bubble of my own making), it should have never been that close. You can't heal if you won't even accept the reality of the injury.

I don't think it's an easy call. I guess if I'm the ump, I'd use his reaction as eveidence that it his hand, see the direction the bat went which may have been cause he lost control from hitting his hand, but all I got, and I'd have to call it a strike. But I get why it's a tough call.

🤷‍♂️K, I'll restate then. It's mostly you defending your ad hominen position.

Absolutely there is. And maybe I stopped reading comments too early. But so far, I've only seen you respond to one person suggesting you get bit. Most of your other responses I've read seem to double down when people attack your position.

Then why aren't you doing to people's responses? 🤔

I grew up poor, latino(brown), religious, closeted, and in white schools. Felt like an outcast much of my life except with black girls and women, who odten were the kindest and empathetic. While not surprised, still breaks my heart ppl would vote a scum in than a supremely qualified black woman.

42% of Latino voters voted for Trump. The number is too high. But 56% voted for Harris. To provide some perspective, if it was just Latino voting, Harris would be president.

When I was a church-goer, people loved the pulpit and the opportunities to perform. But little would support efforts to feed the poor, spend time with elderly, clean up the community - you know, actual service. You can't just preach, you have to act. Don't stop doing. Thank you, Senator.

This argument (not positions - the arguing) doesn't make sense. A-You didn't like his use of "bi-", B- you go further by making determinations on his character because of it, C-you also disagree with his position. I get that. But the arguments are like: C-ABC, AB-B, AB-C. Not a real conversation.

There are people in this world whose physicality don't jibe with their mindset. In trying to reconcile that, Ms. Rowling perpetuates falsehoods and fear of those individuals. They are not many, but they don't fit her world view so she makes them a target. That's what you should be astonished about.

He didn't vote to send 35,000 bombs. Such a friggin manipulation of facts. You all want to give this Country to Trump by manipulating facts to inspire more division. You are just as complicit if not more in those bombs getting to Israel.

Are you kidding me? Because it's not the story you care mostly about, you shit on the whole thing. So ridiculous. We can't get to the progress you all want because you all get pussed off at having to take steps to get there, so we keep f-ing regressing. So we never get their. So friggin ridiculous!

Not e exactly. Nay votes are a vote against overriding the Executive's branch decision to sell arms to Israel. A vetoable vote and because of this rarely used. It's a performative vote under the current administration.
comment in response to post
Thanks. The context is helpful. Under the Arm Export Control act, Congress can disapprove of sales of arms. Imprtant nuance. In that framing, the disapproval can & would be vetoed by Trump & would need an implausible 2/3 to override. An option not available in the way the misleading post framed it.

While I don't know the WI voting laws, I understand the difference to be donating to a campaign vs. paying people for their votes. I suspect the challenge, though (again, not completely tracking WI voting laws) is he did not overtly state his payments were for voting for a specific candidate.

Right! Every time. It's like a petulant child at Disney that wants to go to Space Mountain, but the family says they'll go later when they get to that part of the park, and the child drops on his butt angry and won't go anywhere. That's what happens every election cycle.

I agree with the sentiment. I'd just add this for awareness: $24 million to someone with a net worth of $300 billion is like someone with $1,000 spending $0.08.

For women's history month in the FAA they painted over a small portion of the long mural across the 8th floor on aviation history. Specifically the portion on the east side hallway on women in aviation.

Nothing is burning. They aren't deterred. Exaggerated (and inaccurate) Karma porn isn't helping inspire resistance. Share the true message, Vance went to Greenland, attempted to inspire dissonance with Denmark, the Administration has not ruled out taking Greenland by force. This is America today.

I get it, but the persiveness of karma porn is problematic. Makes people resist less & often karma stories are exaggerated (e.g. celebrating Tesla stock dropm but it's still up 50% (~$90) in the past year). We need less Karma porn & more awareness of the human/civil/consitutional rights violations.

So was the leak intentional? POTUS wanted the shipping lanes open - why? We won't take about that let's talk about how we're bailing Europe, leak it and makes Europe look like the problem again. I gotta dig a little more but just an initial instinct from the read. Thanks for sharing.

Secondary priority. First priority, disempower billionaires. Enact wealth taxes, strengthen labor laws, and block fed contracts funding billionaires. No more fed dollars to firms where CEOs earn over 20 times its average worker. It's time for a war on these billionaires.
