But Ilsa doesn't pick Laszlo. Every time he tells her he loves her later, she says "I know." She never says "I love you" back . . .

And how wonderful that she shares her birthday with Janis Joplin who was born in 1943 in Texas. Dolly was born in 1946.

I loved the camaraderie around the art & beauty of The Return in 2017. Those of us old enough to have been there in 1990, younger converts, coming together on social media to ponder, exclaim, scream, laugh throughout the summer as eps dropped. Such a cultural highlight for me. Gotta Light?

Yes, so why isn’t the name Scrooge associated with celebrating Christmas, or at least redemption? How did his starting place go into the culture & not his ending?
Scrooge: a selfish and unfriendly person who is not willing to spend or give away money

Spirited, yes! I keep telling people how special it is. So many great details. Like GofCPast sparks when she exits the elevator, a nod to the odd candle-like nature of the story, then she picks up a candle & talks abt Clint getting "up in my beeswax." Very smart dialogue.
