Close enough! Wintergreen
If you rip the leaf in half and smell it, the scent is unmistakable. You can even chew it if you want.
It loves growing along the edges of the trail

You have to take a tiny easy to miss deer trail from the AT for about 100yd to find it. I originally discovered it due to comments on FarOut, and you can barely make out the field on Google maps

This graveyard is in the middle of the woods with nothing nearby, the homestead long demolished. The park management maintains these graves as part of the purchase agreement and direct descendents can still be buried here
None of the graves are newer than the mid 1930's

My hooves are soaked. Hiking under the umbrella. Spent last night at Loft Mountain Campground and got a burger and milkshake at the wayside! So I have that going for me, which is nice

This is the elevation profile of what I did today, left to right.
To the left, that peak is The Priest. Drops you down from over 4k to 900ft and back up to Three Ridges.
My legs and ass can crush diamonds now I'm sure
