Yes, true, but if seniors who have a closer connection to and appreciation of autocracy don’t speak loudly, we have little hope.

While I agree many demonstrators I’ve seen locally are seniors, when I see national polls grey hairs have a long way to go to send Trump a message.
comment in response to post
Violent demonstrators aren’t grey hairs.

If you think it sucks, see what violence will do for our cause.

I’m done with ABC. Hope you are too.

Boycott ABC. When a journalist can no longer speak the truth we can longer support the media outlet.

Where are senior Americans? They know what autocracy looks like. They can see what Trump is doing. Where are their voices?

All popular movements require leadership and thoughtful strategy. Chaotic “everyone does their own thing” won’t defeat an autocrat.
comment in response to post
The “movement” is not disciplined. It must be to defeat an autocratic Trump.

Thanks for the advice but no thanks.

They can’t deport employers. This is all about getting deportation numbers up.

No, violence is how we lose.

So if public reaction to Trump’s LA efforts to instigate a fight results in a gain in his support from Americans, how would you feel?
comment in response to post
You are exhausting. Apparently you can’t comprehend the passage you cite.
comment in response to post
Wrong. It’s always about optics for the millions of Americans watching. The “physical fight” This is precisely the wrong approach. You actually think physical violence will gain the public’s’ support against Trump? He’s betting the opposite.
comment in response to post
Did you actually read this passage?
comment in response to post
And those who don’t, these will be the images we all watch on TV.
comment in response to post
I’m well aware. I lived through these periods and was in the streets.
comment in response to post
Nobody forces us into violence. That’s our choice to confront in this way.
comment in response to post
It’s hardly appeasement to protest with intelligence.
comment in response to post
If you believe this you’ll hand Trump a win on a silver platter. The Civil Rights movement didn’t gain support in the way you describe. Nor did the Vietnam War protests.
comment in response to post
Stupid comment. This is how MAGA keeps winning.
comment in response to post
Are we fighting here about anarchism or do you have a laundry list of issues we are protesting?
comment in response to post
Exhausting. You seem to have missed the promotion of non-violence during the Civil Rights Movement. Went right over your head?
comment in response to post
Nobody is suggesting being scared. Be smart about how we protest. To much to ask?
comment in response to post
Actually most people agree with my post. Read again.
comment in response to post
Your profile is fake. You are the most closed minded liberal I’ve seen in a while.
comment in response to post
Ok, your MAGA response is enough. Go away.
comment in response to post
Read again. I said be smart about HOW we protest.
comment in response to post
You are too much. Bye bye.
comment in response to post
You can’t read.
comment in response to post
It’s exhausting fighting with people who believe Trump is an authoritarian yet can’t engage in a discussion about how we protest most effectively. Whats wrong with people today?
comment in response to post
So what’s the alternative to street violence. Non-violence ( what I suggested). What’s the alternative to looting? Non-violence. What is it you can’t understand? What is it you propose?
comment in response to post
Who’s rolling over? I’m out holding signs in my community. Im working with local protest committees. What are you doing?
comment in response to post
You can’t read. Not what I said at all.
comment in response to post
You can’t read apparently.
