If you were looking for someone to remove any doubt that the Department of Justice is being weaponized against Trump’s political opponents there would be no one better for the job than an election denying, Jan. 6th defending, political hack. So, in that sense, this is a perfect pick.

🚨BREAKING VIDEO: In a scathing ruling, a panel of three federal judges struck down Alabama’s 2023 congressional map as a violation of both the Voting Rights Act and the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Paige and I explain. youtu.be/IlCtcyh1QnU

🚨BREAKING: Right wing group DISMISSES case challenging the Arizona's maintenance of its voter rolls. Another victory for Arizona voters and for my law firm and its clients. www.democracydocket.com/cases/arizon...

The rightwing hates me because I fight. They fear me because we win.

The messages have been loud and clear: You are worried about the future. You are frustrated that more is not being done. We are all angry that so few will stand up and fight. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/we-h...

We sued Indiana on Monday. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

🚨BREAKING: On behalf of the Montana Public Interest Research Group, my law firm has sued Montana for targeting student voters in violation of the U.S. and state constitutions. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

In court, DOJ keeps falling back on a legal norm -- the "presumption of regularity" to say courts must assume Trump and his administration are acting in good faith and telling the truth. It is time for the courts to do away with this legal fiction. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/the-...

Thank you!🙏

I know from experience: When we fight, we win. This week, we stopped the GOP from stealing a North Carolina Supreme Court seat. Democracy Docket reported every update on this case. Subscribe to its free newsletters for the latest on all the lawsuits to come: hubs.ly/Q03jcjqP0

I've been fighting to stop Trump and the Republicans from changing voting rules and suppress voting rights for years. The North Carolina Supreme Court election is just the latest example of them trying and us beating them in court.

Shameful. "Several law firm partners who have done significant pro bono work in the past told CNN that lawyers at large firms now may think twice before pitching cases that would step too far into politics." www.cnn.com/2025/05/07/p...

Democracy Docket just hit 400k subscribers on YouTube!🥳 Thank you to everyone who is part of that community. Our goal is 500k by July 10, so we still have a lot of work to do! www.youtube.com/democracydoc...

Thank you to everyone who wrote to me to offer support about my appearance on 60 Minutes.🙏 I will never back down or go silent. I hope that what I write might help others, especially lawyers, speak out as well. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/my-t...

"At a time when defying court orders and refusing to certify election outcomes has become all-but routine for the GOP, fair election advocates say they’re watching closely to ensure the board, even under Republican control, follows the court’s directive to certify the race."

I started Democracy Docket in 2020 to be fearlessly independent and unapologetically pro-democracy. The threats have changed since then, but its commitment has not. It will never bow down. It will never compromise. It will never will never obey. Sign-up now to support. hubs.ly/Q03jcjqV0

🚨BREAKING: In a win for voters, DOJ does not plan to appeal a judge’s order blocking President Donald Trump from adding a proof of citizenship requirement on a federal registration form. Paige and I explain. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHMu...

“Presenting these as two sides of a spectrum — ensuring voting rights and preventing voter fraud — it’s just, I think, an inaccurate way of describing both the mission of the work, and the work that has been done in the last several decades,” the former DOJ attorney said.

In 2020, I created Democracy Docket to expose Trump’s lies about elections and democracy in court. Over the years, it had grown into a full-fledged media company. In 2024, I began writing more frequently and doing more on its YouTube channel. It, too, faced a crossroads.

More shameful cowardice from Big Law.

🚨BREAKING: The Department of Justice (DOJ) does not plan to appeal a judge’s order blocking President Donald Trump from adding a proof of citizenship requirement on a federal registration form, according to a court filing made Monday by plaintiffs in the case.🥳

Voting rights groups filed a lawsuit Monday against Kansas Senate Bill 4 (SB 4), which would eliminate the three-day grace period for mail-in ballots to be counted. Under SB 4, ballots must arrive by 7 p.m. on Election Day to count, regardless of when they were postmarked.

Yesterday we saw new pro-democracy lawsuits in Florida, Indiana and Kansas and a big court win in North Carolina. I expect several NEW cases will be filed today. Stay informed. Subscribe to Democracy Docket: hubs.ly/Q03jcjqP0

I have no doubt that Trump’s hateful words are not behind me. I am certain he will escalate his campaign of political retribution. But, for my part, I will not stop fighting. I will never back down. And I will always speak out. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/my-t...

NEW VIDEO: If we want to protect democracy, we must expand the number of seats in play. Marina Jenkins joins me to discuss the state of redistricting, the Supreme Court and how the fight for fair maps is going. www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSdW...

NEW VIDEO: Earlier tonight a Federal Judge rejected the Republican effort to steal a state Supreme Court election in North Carolina. Paige and I explain. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DAc...

I grew up believing that we had learned the lessons of the German poem and Martin Luther King Jr's speeches. We would all speak out if we saw democracy threatened and the rule of law under attack. I will always speak out against wrong. I will always stand up for democracy. I will not back down.

Today was so busy, I forgot to post that my firm is suing Kansas on behalf of three advocacy groups that are challenging a new law, Senate Bill 4, which disqualifies mail ballots that arrive after election day. www.democracydocket.com/cases/kansas...

Look!👀 The right wing rag -- The Federalist -- accidentally told the truth about why Trump keeps targeting me.😂

🚨BREAKING: In a victory for voters, a federal court has halted Republican Judge Jefferson Griffin’s efforts to overturn an election and disenfranchise thousands of voters. A federal judge has ordered the state to certify Democratic Justice Allison Riggs’ victory.

🚨BREAKING: Federal District Court REJECTS Republican effort to overturn North Carolina Supreme Court election result. Orders the state to certify the results of the election and not proceed with the cure process. Congratulations to our clients, the ELG team, Justice Riggs and the voters of NC!

So many of you wrote to me about my appearance on 60 Minutes and offered such kind words of support. Thank you.🙏 I hope you read this, consider how you can speak out as well, and share with others. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/my-t...

NEW VIDEO: If there is one consistent theme in voter suppression, it is that Republicans hate students voting. Now, two advocacy groups and a student voter are challenging Indiana’s new law banning the use of student ID for voting. Paige and I explain. youtu.be/VqwQU6GwRzU

Last month, Gov. Mike Braun (R) signed into law Senate Bill 10 (SB 10), which bans the use of university-issued IDs as valid voter identification at the polls. A new lawsuit calls this a “surgical attack” on student voting access as Indiana continues to allow other, less secure forms of voter ID.

🚨BREAKING: Advocacy groups and student voter file lawsuit challenging Indiana’s new law — Senate Bill 10 — banning the use of student ID for voting. State is engaging in a “surgical attack” on student voters as state election law does not prohibit the use of any other form of photo ID.

Promises made, promises kept. Stand by for details....

🚨NEW: @floridadecideshealthcare.org and voters are suing the state over a recent law that makes it harder to participate in the ballot initiative process. www.democracydocket.com/cases/florid...

I am not often quoted in @nytimes.com DealBook, but I hope the business community is listening.

I expect at least one major voting right lawsuit to be filed today. Democracy Docket will have full coverage. www.democracydocket.com

I may be the only lawyer targeted by Trump willing to speak on camera, but for me it wasn't a choice. All of us have an obligation to speak out against what Trump is doing. All of us have an obligation to fight for democracy. I am fortunate to be a lawyer and to have a platform -- and I will use it.
