Recursive Gradient Physics (RGP) is no longer just theory🔥 Microsoft’s Majorana breakthrough aligns with RGP: controlling states via Contextual (Gradient-Driven) Filters. Our trilogy, awaiting @arXiv endorsement, lays foundation. @hossenfelder.bsky.social @[email protected] Thoughts??

My colleague Josselin Desmars from the Paris Observatory has identified additional occultation events for 2024 YR4 in February. A more detailed analysis—accounting for uncertainties and diffraction—is needed, but there’s hope we can refine the position of this Torino-3 asteroid. #PlanetaryDefense

I’m going to put my rich guy hat on and say I hope that Mexico and Canada issue equal, retaliatory tariffs and stick to them for an extended period. I apologize to all the people it will cost money and the businesses it will hurt. But it’s the only way for tariffs to be seen for what they are

Heat pumps are vastly more efficient than gas heating systems. With the right policies they can also be significantly cheaper from a total cost of ownership perspective. Our new paper on how to make heat pumps the cheapest option.👇 www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti... Visual @ember-energy.org

What happens if you put an AI in charge of national defense? In war games, LLMs tend to escalate & do arms races. Base models are more aggressive & unpredictable. The authors speculate that it is because there is lots of training data on escalation, little on de-escalation. arxiv.org/pdf/2401.03408

The first paper on gradient choreographies isn’t even published yet, and we’re already working on the second—introducing a revolutionary leap in robot and autonomous car behavior. From clumsy spacetime-driven systems to fluid gradient-driven intelligence. The future is analog.

As a sociologist and physicist, I’ve been exploring how gradient choreographies and contextual filters influence both AI and societal systems. A paper is in the works—excited to share insights soon!

CNN confirmed on-air just now that top Trump aides are furiously calling journalists to insist that Elon Musk has been following the orders of Trump rather than the other way around. As predicted, Trump is horrified and enraged at the idea that Musk is now seen as the President of the United States.

I see a lot of people talk about the environmental costs of AI. I don't see as much about the human exploitation behind it.

Jeff Bezos said he is "proud" of his decision to block the Washington Post's endorsement of Harris (which the publisher of the paper initially suggested he had nothing to do with) and "very optimistic" about the Trump presidency and Trump's plans "around reducing regulation"
