Yesterday and today I finished restructuring and rewriting content on my website redesign. Once my Apple Pencil charges, I will start working on some of the line drawings I want to use in place of the pictures there now... as well as some decorative line work. Last step = arranging mobile pages.

Anyone who wanders onto my website... it's under construction so thank you for your patience. ❤️

Everyone has a soul, therefore everyone is just as human as they are divine. If we can treat everyone like they're equally human and equally divine, just like ourselves, our world will trend toward more kindness and compassion.

What do you do when the Universe has sent you a dog so well matched to you who bonded with you instantly? You tell her every night that she is your gift from the Universe and that you're so thankful she's in your life. ❤️

Starting in January, I'll be hosting virtual, sliding scale investment workshops for writers and/or mystics. Here's the first one: www.eventbrite.com/e/start-your... #writers #mystics

Welcome everyone who is new to Bluesky! If you write, I want to get to know you. If you're interested in the mystical, I want to get to know you. If you are a dog person, I want to get to know you. If you read historical fiction/historical fantasy, I want to get to know you.

I had to take a post-election break to see if I wanted to be on social of any kind. I determined that I do.

Last year, when I traveled to Bath, the tour guide told us that cider without alcohol would be considered apple juice. But farm fresh cider in New England? Better without booze. Enjoying the fruits of the season. 🍎

Yesterday, I was nearly vanquished by a hill of acorns hidden under fallen leaves. But I fell well thanks to years of martial arts training, and ended up merely hyperextending and twisting my knee. Despite the moderate discomfort, I find I'm able to accept it thanks to years of meditation.

Happy Halloween, all!

What happens when you write the scariest thing? www.margaretmcnellis.com/blog/start-w...

It rained! Finally!

The latest Historical Novels Review came today and I added 20 books to my TBR.

Went to the beach today to meditate. It was so windy but I really enjoyed it! Where do you like to meditate?

I love to write letters. Actual letters on paper that I put in an envelope and mail with a stamp. It's also fun to get letters back. Not only do letters become an important part of the historical record but more than that... it gives such joy to send a letter to a friend.

I love how my dog sleeps with her toys like a little kid with a favorite stuffed animal. It's so adorable. Sometimes she's so cute I might implode.

Sold some gently used books today. It always feels good, when the time is right, to pass them on in their journey to their next readers. And it's more selection for a local used bookstore. A win-win... plus! Now there's a bit more space on my shelves for new reads.

Conclave was REALLY good. A little slow on pace but that served the tension well, so I feel like if you know that going into the movie, then it's all good. But it's been a while since I've seen a really, really good new movie and this was one.

Dropping this here for any writers who feel like folks in their circle don't support their writing: annerallen.com/2021/07/unsu... ✍️ #writers

One reason why 42 might be the answer to life, the Universe, and everything: It reduces to a 6, which in numerology, is all about taking care of each other. Another: By age 42 (me in a couple months), we've seen enough life to at least know how to live in the mystery of never having an answer.

My new profile banner background? A cartomancy mat my mom quilted for me. It's also become my background on my website and the inspiration for my color palette.

Last weekday of my staycation. I think I'll sit in and read for a while tonight. What are you all up to?

I've been rewatching Veep. It's amazing how predictive this show actually was.

Had a coaching call at the beach today because the painters are still sanding the house. It was a really pretty spot to sit, but I had to stay in the car because it was too cold out to sit outside -- not to mention windy and my writer wouldn't have been able to hear me!

Today was all whirlwindy. The abode was getting sanded to be painted and my poor little corgi was in a shambles. I decided to bake cupcakes for my family while at the same time making a tasty – but unexpectedly complicated – meal (due to unavailable spices that I had to craft subs for). I'm pooped.
