BREAKING: A federal judge in California has ordered OPM to rescind memos calling for the mass termination of probationary employees, saying the agency overstepped its legal authority and must inform other agencies it lacked the authority to issue such a directive.

First of many, but here we have a completely manufactured criminal investigation. One career prosecutor already resigned over it. Goal is simply to claw back $20 billion in Biden era climate money. Open and shut corruption. www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/202...

Why isn’t anyone calling for Elon to take a drug test?

Idea: an organization with a whole lot of money pays 50 therapists to provide free therapy to fired fed workers. The world is a shitshow and not knowing where your next pay check is coming from or how you'll pay for health insurance is recipe for crisis. Is anyone doing this?

Going after Social Security is one of the most idiotic things that Trump and Elon could do, and Democrats in Congress need to jump on this shit. prospect.org/health/2025-...

🚨 Republicans in Congress are attacking the CFPB’s new rule that removes $50 billion (!!) in medical debt from credit reports. Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) & Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD) have now introduced a resolution to overturn it.

This doesn’t exist and will literally save $0

"daddy, what did you do in the war" son, i archived all 6,793 videos from the Kennedy Center before they disappeared from the internet we all did our part

Brave to @jeffstein.bsky.social, WaPo's chief economics correspondent, for not wasting any time in stating what must be stated. Hopefully the first of many.

billionaires are consolidating control and expanding their influence in every way they can right now

both the first wrinkle on my face and my 100th came in the first month of Trump-Musk

Sen. Cortez Masto asks an excellent question: "Who is Elon Musk? "He's private sector. He's not even a government employee. He's a billionaire."

The CFPB resolved Stacey McCall's unfair vehicle payment issue within 8 days. @bluntrochester.senate.gov asked about how McCall found out about the CFPB: "By happenstance: through word of mouth." Without the CFPB, consumers won't have a place to go get help.

I feel you, Frosty.

Trump’s chaos continues: following mass firings at CFPB—a consumer protection watchdog that’s returned over $21 billion to Americans in the last 15 years—thousands of reports of fraud and scams are going unanswered. This isn’t efficiency. Americans are at risk. www.youtube.com/live/s8iNPld...

If you have not won an election in a year that starts with a 2, I beg of you: Shut the fuck up.

If you're in North America today, there's a good chance it feels like mid-Spring where you are -- despite that it's still just February. Temps 15-30°F warmer than normal across most of the continent for most of the week.

TODAY at 2 PM: @warren.senate.gov convenes Members of Congress on the DOGE attacks on CFPB * Mass. AG Andrea Campbell * Lorelei Salas, former CFPB Director of Supervision Policy * Americans helped by the CFPB At G-50 Dirksen, public welcome. @nteu335.bsky.social @fedsagainstdoge.bsky.social

This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source. Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

both the financial times and heatmap come out with stories about how sources are afraid to speak on the same day... seems bad

Good morning. Have you subscribed to The Handbasket yet? No time like the present. Got a good one coming out shortly...

another Nazi salute at CPAC

Dicked over victims of Elon Musk have my support to do whatever or nothing at all.. but I just heard that some will be posting five things that they would have done for their country were it not for DOGE, Musk, and Trump and I think that is brilliant.

This is the ultimate dick boss move from Musk - except he isn’t even the boss, he’s just a dick.

hyper-confident idiots and explicit white supremacists, burning shit down and making up numbers to pretend it has value

well that didn't take long abcnews.go.com/US/former-pr...

Former CFPB Director Rohit Chopra joins @aaronparnas.bsky.social to discuss how Trump + Musk are gutting consumer protections, letting Big Banks & Tech run wild. "I don't think we want to go back to a system where we have laws on the books protecting consumers but no one actually enforcing them."

The CFPB has returned billions to people cheated by big banks, stopped predatory lenders, and fought junk fees — but its future is under attack by Trump, Musk & their DOGE minions. Your story matters. If the CFPB has helped you, speak out: www.warren.senate.gov/share-your-c...

Musk is trying to shut down the CFPB, the very agency that holds Big Banks & Big Tech accountable, just as X launches payments & his DOGE accesses Treasury systems. He’s not just dodging the rules — he’s dismantling the agencies that enforce them.

someone has added a banner to the FCC Complaints page so that anyone going to file a complaint first gets asked if they want to join in a complaint re: “investigating news distortion at 60 Minutes” consumercomplaints.fcc.gov

First amendment is from Senator @schumer.senate.gov: No one who makes more than a billion dollars gets a tax break.

Love to see Senator @jeff-merkley.bsky.social calling out Musk, Zuckerberg, Bezos, and Pichai by name. The Republican budget isn’t just bad policy — it’s a billionaire giveaway at the expense of American families.

I wish I wasn't living in interesting times.

I cannot emphasize enough that the New York City subway is not scary. It’s one of my favorite parts of living here. I grew up in the suburbs having to drive on highways everywhere and that’s way scarier

Hochul is such a clown

BREAKING — I've confirmed the DOGE staffers at SSA. They are Marko Elez (who was previously fired for racist posts and then reinstated), Ethan Shaotran, Nikhil Rajpal, and Gautier Cole-Killian. This is per Social Security Works, a non-profit working to protect/expand Social Security.

🐢👋🏼

Junk fees = #TrumpFees

Math is hard

this is absolutely right, it's a gleeful dehumanization that is both demonic and strategic

Baldwin: "Last night, the president said 'I'm not touching Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, VA, I'm not touching them.' By this morning, he endorsed the House budget resolution which paves the way for massive cuts to Medicaid."

This is a concentration camp. They are describing a concentration camp.
