someone has added a banner to the FCC Complaints page so that anyone going to file a complaint first gets asked if they want to join in a complaint re: “investigating news distortion at 60 Minutes” https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/

So...weaponize it in the alternate direction and make some random functionary say 70% say it's FINE and 30% say DESTROY DEMS. At least that becomes part of the record? 70-30 pro-democracy?
wtf? this is nuts. where is the QR code to download the Snitch app and let the patriots know what local figures, family members, even i am doing to prevent the president from implementing his agenda?
Cool, ‘cause the filing does not have to be in support of the complaint. I filed that I think it should be dropped. All filings are public! I encourage all to do the same.
I added comments in support of the 60 minutes interview and asking for an investigation into the current administration's banning of news media in the white house.
Double down. Get everyone you know to set their TV VCR to tape it, and watch live if they can, and see again OnDemand and on internet access ... pump up CBS "60 Minutes" numbers all you can. They've been trying to kill ABC "The View" for years, and efforts just pump up its social media metrics, LOL!
Trump went on a rant last fall because Harris did well on 60 Minutes, insisting they must've edited her to look good. It was the same week he cancelled his interview on the show. Absolute crybaby.
Wouldn't it be fun if lots and lots of us went to the FCC site and filed large numbers of comments praising the "60 Minutes" interview and describing it in glowing terms?
This is 100% what everyone should do. It's all doom and gloom. Just tell them it's KOSHER and GREAT. Comments are...comments. This isn't tyranny. COMMENT! DO GOOD!
Putting aside the very disturbing trend of the government corruptly using its power to chase conspiracy theories and harass its perceived opponents, this is so pathetic. What information would any FTC visitor have to contribute about the 60 Minutes “incident” that would be new or plausibly relevant?
Done. Has the FCC ever used a banner like this to single out a filing this way? Seems like an abuse of being neutral on issues. (Yes, I realize this is a small thing in the giant stack of shit this presidency is trying to accomplish).
And…I just submitted a FCC complaint on their website, about this notification on the homepage.
The complaint page is like AOL circa 1995, so your complaint options are limited, so I chose “emergency services” and “interference” in my drop down menu options.
Add you comments to the complaint! You don't have to take their side with your comments, you can take 60 minutes side. Protest by adding a bunch of pro-60 minutes testimony!
I've been a communications scholar for more than 40 years, studying mass media law and regulation extensively. This is an outrageous misuse of the FCC for petty revenge against Trump's so-called enemies. The relevant Senate & House committees overseeing the FCC should call them onto the carpet.
In a normal regulatory era, Congress would have been peeved about a president using an independent agency as his personal goon squad, but the relevant subcommittee is chaired by this clown. https://hudson.house.gov
I joined the complaint. Thanks for spreading the word
”This investigation should be dropped immediately. It is an example of partisan politics and executive branch overreach. The American people will not tolerate it. Thank you.”
Friends, how about...filing a -supportive- comment? Let's let them grapple with comments that -run contrary- to the demand? Or maybe...filing an -ambivalent- comment to negate insanity that (R)s likely won't file anyway, unless prompted by their church/Twitter(aka WH press feed)?
Ignore it? ...As I recall, but it's been a while, they ...CAN'T. They're "public records" and searchable. There's an element of "You made a decision not in support of comments received" and "WHY?" that gets asked by courts. Courts seem to be the only ones holding up anything so...give them tools?
I'm a former FCC attorney, now retired from private practice. I filed a comment saying the agency has no business getting into editorial judgments under the first amendment. I am ashamed of my former agency.
Added my two cents to Brendan Carr's witch hunt. "I'd like to report a free-speech hating fascist named Brendan Carr for pursuing a politically driven, lie filled investigation."

I guess.
;)
I used this link to comment that the CBS 60 Minutes interview of Vice President Kamala Harris was perfectly fine.
