The Pentagon has abruptly scrapped its entire social science research program. The decision “is short-sighted and harmful to U.S. national security,” @jaylyall.bsky.social told me. It “suggests they don’t care about better understanding threats the U.S. faces,” says @busbyj2.bsky.social.
