Participants needed for research study: Australian-based males aged 18+ who have experienced suicidality (suicide thoughts/plans, or suicide attempt), after a (romantic) relationship break-down. Help us to better support males. 🙏More info: federation.syd1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_...

Washed four blankets, dried within the hour. Ready for the cool change now please 🥵

Super proud of being involved in developing this important resource with researchers and young people. Useful, practical tips you are a researcher, young person - as well as funders and ethics committees involved in suicide prevention research. If this is you please check it out 🙏

A single 400-year-old ancient oak produces 234,000 litres of oxygen a year while soaking up carbon dioxide, and can support more than 2,000 species of bird, insect, fungus, and lichen. Nature is amazing - we need more of it, not less. Please repost if you agree 🌳

View from my balcony desk not too shabby!

Last days of leave. Lovely bush walk not far from me in the Yarra Ranges. 😊😍🌳💪I’ll miss these relaxing days…

Starting 2025 out right 💪🌳😊😍

Reviewer request sent to me by journal on 27th December, reminder on 30th...NO NO NO! 🤦‍♀️

Alone or lonely at Christmas? New to social media? There’s a great tradition with the hashtag #joinin, you just search for it and see lots of friendly messages. Someone has also created a feed here: bsky.app/profile/did:...

The never.ending. Deep cleaning before Christmas guests 🤯😫😭 time for wine??

Instead of listing my publications, as the year draws to an end, I want to shine the spotlight on the commonplace assumption that productivity must always increase. Good research is disruptive and thinking time is central to high quality scholarship and necessary for disruptive research.

I think everyone should get to know the west African term “wahala”. It generally means “chaos”, “confusion”, or “drama”. A clusterfuck. I’ve been on a mission for years to use it more regularly in my work. Because—- *gestures at everything* See wahala?!???

Crawling to Friday before a much-needed two week break (even if it does include hosting Christmas for extended family 😱). The stress and pressure in academia seems to cumulate in major burnout and by the end of the year I.AM.DONE. Bring on long days of summer reading, hiking, biking, napping

I just turned on an old water trough to attract some feral sheep at work and this thirsty mum turned up straight away. Kangaroos around here genetically have white markings on their faces. Makes them look painted up for a corroboree

When you are an introvert you start panicking about a work holiday party at 48 hrs prior.
