Navy veteran, husband Army. It’s alarming that the DoD is now led by someone who advocated to pardon war criminals. The Germans didn’t believe soldiers would turn on its citizens either. But, DoD is now being remade. Knitting and sewing are my yoga 🧵🧶

It’s the “Art of War” - Find willing ministers to sow division. Less risk than actual invasion.

Good! We don’t need to pretend anymore where we are at. Sad, but at least it’s now on the table.

We were lucky enough to sell our home in the middle of Helene and Milton. I miss my house, but I don’t miss the hurricanes, the book banning and women’s rights banning politics overtaking the state. Sometimes, it’s just time to move on.

What?!? Being taken in by a conman is different than what I meant. I’m sure you knew that.

I understand your frustration. And if you read my other comments, you will see that I don’t think the Dems should lead the efforts to bail out those who took the buyouts. We need to force the GoP they voted for to fix the problem, “conquer and divide”. Tribalism is a hard wall to crack …

As a veteran, these blanket statements are not helpful. People who serve believe in service, putting action into words. It doesn’t serve to divide us. Find the common denominator. The latest actions of the Administration may be what finally wakes up people caught up in Trump’s lies.

(…) if the Dems bail them out, Fox will just convince them that it was Trump’s doing. No let the GoP take action or not action. This will be on them.

The majority of those in civil service likely voted for Trump if not at all, since many in civil service lean right - life-time republican here until Trump with many right leaning friends. Sometimes, people don’t think the issues apply to them until it applies to them. (…..)

I got a email from the VA - the gist is addressing the cuts. I haven’t read it, but my guess is that worried veterans are wondering how all this is affecting them. Public servants (military and government) tend to lean right. So… it will be interesting to see how this plays out within the GOP.

Take a second: 1. Google Gulf of Mexico 2. “Gulf of America" is at the top 3. Click on the three dots to the right 4. Select "Send Feedback" 5. Click on "Gulf Of America" 6. Select "Inaccurate content" 7. Select "Incorrect" and type in "The correct name is “Gulf of Mexico"

When you read the FT article, the dairy farmer, “The turning point was an incident in the 1990s when a US-born worker turned up for a job he had advertised. “All these cans of beer fell out when he opened the car door,” he said. “I rang one of his references and he said he’d never hire him back.”

Watching it from PA… and I’m loving the Super Bowl commercials. It’s actually a big FU to white nationalists and all the crazy rhetoric.

I use to live in one of those blue dots (city - blue) but red districts in Florida. I know our congresswoman is a “true believer,” but I also know she genuinely cares about the people she represents. She voted against the Trump/Musk budget free-for-all. I’m curious to watch this play out.

The strain is just not on the Dems. The GOP may be silent, but Congress who have to go back home and explain to angry and/or desperate constituents why they might not have gotten their pay (disability, VA, etc) on time because of disruptions during the funding freeze and Treasury are feeling it too.

Looking at the map, I can’t imagine a Democrat having even the slightest chance in District 6. Then again the DOGE boys cutting of Medicaid and Medicare in that area might do the trick. But, I’ve also been witnessed the DNC messaging failure over . Obama Care … it’s what flipped the state red.

It has never been about “legal immigration” or even immigration at all. Dark people like are now being told we can’t move around without our “papers.” Unfortunately, I know too many who voted for Trump believing otherwise.

Love this! Thank you. Eloquent, too the point, and with just enough relatable ire and fatigue at this point.
