What I'm going to remember about this year is Pepé running lead at 11yrs old for almost 700 miles, across what many called the worst trails they ever ran. Q running while in the midst of mourning, but never quitting. The #uglydogs coming together for @igivearod.bsky.social That's worth celebrating

My suggestion to the Iditarod, form up a group of volunteers whose job is the red lantern pack. Anyone who has happy healthy dogs and wants to continue should get to finish. #UglyDogs we’re 53 years into this race, make a solution instead of killing dreams.
