I’ve lived in the South, Midwest, and East Coast. But the Mushroom Kingdom is my favorite.

Ironically he missed the key Madden strategy of taking the quick field just now to save time and then going for the TD on the last drive

If red states are going to insist on performing executions, at this point it seems like they should just bring back firing squads.
That has to be more humane than this monstrosity.

I live in Cincinnati now, so I’ve become a casual fan but don’t follow super closely.
Someone just brought up the playoffs at work and everyone immediately said they were rooting for the *Ravens* over the Chiefs.
My apologies as I didn’t understand how butthurt Bengals nation was over Mahomes.

The Bengals and Chiefs are not remotely rivals. They happen to be good teams in the same conference and played each other a couple of times in the playoffs. That’s it.

Noem and Stefanik have to be the front-runners right? Vivek a distant third and no one else seems likely…
Stefanik has been laying it on thick lately, maybe that is a turnoff for Trump…

The poll is from November, so yeah who knows now.
I assume he is still pretty popular in Florida, and he’ll have 3 years to actually govern and make voters forget this debacle.
And anyway, I don’t think credentials are that important these days in the GOP. Name recognition is half the battle.

I dunno, at least Kerry won the nomination and maintained some level of political relevancy in the following years.
DeSantis will go down in history alongside the likes of Scott Walker.

It was a long time ago, but RDS was once within single digits... he was definitely running to win.

DeSantis has shown truly awful political instincts.
But running as the principal opposition to the person you want to choose you as VP (a person who notably hates anyone who even mildly challenges him) seems dumb even for him.

Wait, you think Trump will pick him as VP?

Lol and if waits 20 years before getting said VP role as well.

Right? Puritan origins and all that.
Show too much cleavage on network tv and certain people are up in arms, but no one bats an eye when John Wick mows down 100 bad guys.

My sense is that it isn’t as offensive across the pond as it is here, but maybe that’s just the group I know.

He is term limited so he can’t even run there once his current term ends… although he could theoretically run again four years later (you can’t do more than two consecutive terms in FL)
Wouldn’t be surprised if his wife runs… she can actually talk to people without experiencing physical pain.

It’s satisfying when bad things happen to bad people as a direct result of their bad actions.

Greg Gutfeld also made a joke about a black man having Mayo as his last name, so you’re treading on thin ice here. But at least you’re making fun of the Patriots, so I think you’re in the clear.
If you haven’t heard of him, don’t waste your time…

I thinks it’s petty and self-serving to declare that something “sucks”… especially something that obviously lots of people enjoy.
People like different things and that’s fine.

well that's because the whole point of not voting is to threaten libs with it
but this just raises the question of whether they're bluffing or not
and if they are then they're full of shit and if they aren't then they're monsters, so

Yea I’m sure all the top young candidates right now would love to burn their chance in 2028 and wait another 20 years until people forget they got trounced multiple times.

Do you know destroys political careers? Losing. Especially failing twice in a row for the same job.
Doesn’t have anything to do with “the party”. People (voters) don’t like to support habitual losers.

A majority of Democrats think he is very old (which drives his low approval ratings) but don’t know enough about his policies to have any strong objection there.
They like the idea of a younger candidate in the abstract but don’t actually have anyone better in mind.

No one is stopping Whitmer or Pritzker or whoever the flavor of the day is from challenging Biden. They are choosing not to because they know they would lose.
Incumbents obviously have a huge advantage and that is almost impossible to overcome.
