It’s his go-to response when he’s asked about something he doesn’t want to deal with. I suppose he thinks everyone will forget by then.
In fact, “in two weeks” is such a puny now it hardly needs a setup.

Are you sure? I mean, have you ever seen your toddler and Trump in the same place at the same time?

Seems like quite a climb-down from “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”

Why do you hate Infrastructure Week, Michael? 😉

Actively attacking Iran (as opposed to defending Israel from attack) is a huge and fraught step, and should probably only be done if possible to do quickly and decisively. Unclear to me if that result is likely, and dragging out the decision for two weeks signals ambivalence and indecisiveness. 2/2

I understand the facility in question is 300 feet deep inside a mountain. I don't know one way or the other, but seems reasonable to question whether any deliverable weapon can collapse it, and that should be a critical parts of the decision. 1/2

It's being reported that he has doubts that even the American "bunker buster" bomb can do the job, so he already has a rationale for stepping away. We'll see what happens.

A large part of the electorate has internalized the idea that violence and willful cruelty are demonstrations of "strength." They absolutely *did* vote for it, and will support it right up to the point that it happens to someone they personally know and care about, and even then will rationalize it.

What's frustrating is that when the next president comes along and wants to remove these gaudy, jingoistic things, he or she will be accused of "hating America."

There’s a legitimate strategic value in keeping your opponent guessing about what your next move will be. But that doesn’t include incessantly running your mouth about how you haven’t made up your mind, and will only do so on a whim at the very last goddamned minute.

Perhaps.
But as a resident of Texas, where the entire state government has been captured and held by Rs for years, it seems that what the public actually believes and supports has very limited influence on what the state government actually does.

I feel like they’re a whole lot of MAGAs who are going to be visiting national parks this summer for the first time in decades, solely so they can find something to report.

Musk is ambivalent about it, at best. Remember he was just fine palling around with Trump and mugging for pictures in the Oval Office for months, and only threatened to expose him over Epstein AFTER he got pushed aside.
He looks the other way if it pays him to look the other way.

So (part of) the gimmick is that these smart phones will be made in the United States, shipping three months from now, when currently there are NO smart phones produced in the United States.
I mean, sure, okay.

The administration is also requiring NPS sites to post signage encouraging visitors to report historical content that they think disparages the United States or its ideals. I guarantee there are MAGA types who will make their first visit to a national park in decades, specifically to find something.

Sure, why not? The nominee for Surgeon General doesn’t have a license to practice medicine, either. That’s how this administration rolls.
