We are all a little sad to see Snickers go but every dog deserves their own home and family.
From the moment I met her on the streets to the last goodbye she was always offering a gift 🥰🙏

It will be a long journey for Snickers…
🚕 ⛴️ 14 hour trip to Bangkok
🏥 Medical checks and paperwork
✈️ Fly to USA via Japan on Tuesday
She will arrive next week and her family have a huge garden 🌳 (7/8)

Snickers new parents came all the way to Thailand for a holiday so they could also meet her and make her travel a little easier.
She obviously had a you present for them. She is taking it along on her journey to offer to people she meets (6/8)

Snickers had a bath and put her American bandana on because she is going to live near Washington.
She said goodbye to her best friend from the street Rolo who also has a home. (5/8)

She came in to to us and we put her up for adoption.
Unsurprisingly she got over 100 applications.
After 4 months of prep and paper work she was able to travel today (4/8)

My whole philosophy is to feed the street dogs and keep them healthy on the streets. I can’t re-home them all.
But snickers just kept on bringing me gifts so I cracked and brought her in to get her adopted (3/8)

Every single morning as I arrived with the food delivery she would hear the bike coming and prepare a gift.
This went on for a whole year. The gifts were always extremely well thought out (2/8)

Gemeinsam mit ihrem Mann und ihrer Tochter Hafsa lebte sie seit 2017 in München. Amel war ein Mensch, der sich für Gerechtigkeit eingesetzt hat. War aktiv für Solidarität, Gleichheit und setzte sich für Arbeitnehmer*innenrechte ein und gegen Fremdenfeindlichkeit und Ausgrenzung.

Amel ist in Algerien geboren und ist mit vier Jahren nach Deutschland gekommen. Sie studierte Umweltschutz in Köln und Bingen. Seit 2017 war sie Beschäftigte der Landeshauptstadt München als Ingenieurin. Sie war Projekt- und Sachgebietsleitung.
