🫣 I would not be able to take a photo- I’d have already run the other direction.

I put pressure on myself to get all As- especially in HS/college. With my children, I want them to have balance. All I ask is they give it their best; if you work your tail off and get a C, I love that you gave it your all. Mental health is more important than killing your spirit for a grade.

I hope you’re not admitted now and are only remembering past experiences 🤞🏻

I was wholly unprepared for the amount of people in the OR for my son’s July 8 birth; my OB, 3rd Yr assisting, 1st Yr watching, anesthesiologist, CRNA in training and a resident, surgical nurse and trainee, baby nurse then whole NICU team. I lost count of how many people were learning.

We were only ever able to give ours away as a spare for a grandparent/caregiver. I love the baby shower for those that can’t afford it. I gave a booster seat to a student’s family living in their car and the mom didn’t want it- I said she couldn’t afford the ticket if caught without it.

Congratulations! That was a step I thought I would take, but now 2 school years away from retirement I don’t know if I will. I can’t wait to see what you accomplish!

Thanks for the inspiration. I have some jeans that fit well but are very worn (🫣) in that same area. Looks like a good summer project for me!

Craving or dehydrated? 😂 it’s just semantics, right?

I was lucky they didn’t spread to where my spinal needed to go or it would’ve been general anesthesia for the c-section 🫣

That’s a bummer. I’m hoping I can get it since I’ve already had shingles once- 12 years ago at 38 weeks pregnant in July. 0/10 do not recommend 😂

Getting all of my vaccines updated as soon as school lets out Tuesday and I can afford a few days tired and achy on the couch. Also requesting the shingles one early if I can.

Years of career step increases were eaten by premiums- not counting years steps were frozen or “adjusted”. When I went over a lane for my master’s, it took five years of the new salary to pay back the cost. I’m two years from retirement- my husband makes more than me RETIRED than I do working. Why?

Oh no! I hope the covid recovery for both is quick. Cancer- whew. That will take time. Prayers for your family.

I was student teaching on 9/11. Definitely shaped my career - as did Columbine. Unfortunately our society is not as united today as it was then- I do not expect to see national memorials in the future the way we once had them. 😞

Yuck! I hate missing trash and recycle day- everything gets so gross. Makes me soooo glad to be past the dirty diaper trash days.

I would reply to the email and sign it with the title/name I go by at school. It also depends on if it’s a current student (in which case I’d address our current school code for respect) or if it’s a former student reaching out- in that case I’d likely let the first name slide.

Teachers all love their students, even if we show it different ways.
One of my students told me today “I love you” to which I responded “I love having you as a student.” He said “that’s not the same, I LOVE you.” *heart melt*

It gets better. Keep offering healthy choices and keep familiar back ups when the newness is overwhelming to Little One. My kids all went through eating phases - only noodles, only yogurt etc and now all are healthy well balanced eaters.

Toilet paper, all over the counter cold and pain remedies/allergy for adults and children, nonperishables and staples you use often and can preserve, meat if you have a reliable freezer. Can you tell I’ve thought about this? I’m also planning where I can grow some veggies/ source local produce.

One time when I was still getting up up multiple times a night nursing an infant, my principal found me crying because I couldn’t open my classroom door. I was clicking the key fob to my car which was repeatedly honking in the parking lot. 🤪

I hope you all feel better soon. It is an awful feeling when mom and dad are sick and toddler wants to play.

Same. Sometimes my parents would buy more expensive “church” shoes but then we had to wear them well beyond when they fit. My pinky toe and ring toe actually curl under from being in perpetually too-small shoes. And footed pajamas too tight? Just cut the toes off and let your feet hang out.

Yes! It makes me want to grow my own food but unfortunately I live on a tiny city lot not conducive to gardening/canning for a family of five.

Bummer! She looks like a natural. When we were kids we played a game called box hockey. My dad built it and you play with sticks and a puck inside a wooden frame. Like this link (no affiliate to me, I just found something that looked like what we had). images.app.goo.gl/5haJguArSGpk...

It’ll be okay. Our doggo put on pounds getting fewer walks and cleaning up the high chair droppings after our first was born; it came back off once she was walking and they could chase one another around the yard.

I don’t eat much sugar because it does terrible things to my gut, but now strawberries or raspberries do really taste like the rush I used to get from candy without intestinal pain. It’s like your body relearns what “sweet” is. But if you like candy, eat candy. It’ll be just fine.

Glad you find humor in it. I keep having a recurring nightmare that I blurt out “I’ve never done butt stuff” under anesthesia. My husband said some crazy shit- on repeat. 😂
