What about something like representations of “others” holding up the throne in Achaemenid sculpture? Cultural differences among the conquered/ruled are stereotyped in visual representation. This lines up with imperial claims to ordering the universe.

Not that I am aware of. The national conference is typically in-person only. A version of my paper should be in AABNER in the near future.
