Apparently Shumer is whipping yes votes of cloture. He’s planning on exchanging yes votes for a floor votes on Murray’s amendments or something equivalent. Doesn’t take a genius to realize those won’t pass.

The news coming out of Washington is that Dems will vote for the CR in exchange for a floor vote on your amendment or something equivalent. Please don’t do that. We see through that game, that’s just a way to give up while looking like you’re fighting.
