Huge thank you to Montana for this heartwarming tribute. For those that don't know the history, he quit his job managing a billion dollar family fund in 2018 rather than stop criticizing Elon Musk, after Elon himself called his boss to complain. This piece means so much more, coming from him.

Over on X, simple tweets by my colleague Greg Bluestein of the Atlanta Journal Constitution have been blocked. They were nothing but video of a town hall held by Rep. Rich McCormick R-GA where he was asked questions about DOGE

WATCH: “What are you going to do to rein in the megalomaniac in the White House?” An @reprichmccormick town hall in a red GEORGIA district erupts in cheers - then boos loudly as he tries to invoke Biden and both-sides Trump’s actions. Full video: www.instagram.com/reel/DGUf45s...

Yeah. To put it into perspective, if Trump is permitted to rearrange the post office, he is also permitted to rearrange the lower federal courts however he likes. Both are spelled out as "The Congress shall have Power" in Art I, Sec 8. And there's more too, like armies and the militia, second pic.

Republican Sen. Rand Paul asks a question on the Senate floor: If Elon Musk and DOGE are finding all this waste/fraud and want to reduce the deficit, why are Senate Republicans passing budget today that increases spending by $340 billion?

They’re calling it the Trump Crash Crisis trumpcrashedthis.com

The Boer Must Go

“Since being sworn in for the second time … the president has reportedly spent all four weekends on the green, and played golf at his own properties on nine of his first 30 days in office.” I’m sure this senior would be golfing daily if he could but he ran for president just to stay out of prison.

Trump/Russia pays off for Putin again as Trump says Ukraine “started it,” spouting Moscow’s biggest lie. Trump/Russia was never a “hoax”; it is and always was real.

Does this officially make him a *royal* pain in the ass?

USAID employees sued Elon Musk and DOGE seeking to block them from having unchecked authority of the government. Employees argue that Musk's actions violate the U.S. Constitution and Separation of Powers.

So, who's the head of DOGE which apparently is in charge of everything now if it isn't Musk?

JUST IN: Another medical horror story in an affidavit from a USAID employee stationed overseas. Says his pregnant wife was not medevac-ed for emergency health care because of directives from DC. Took intervention of a U.S. senator to reverse — but was too late. s3.documentcloud.org/documents/25...

“MaYbe shE’s goiNg to be in TroUble nOw” Maybe he can learn to read. The Constitution would be a good place to start

"lets use the power of the state to go after someone speaking out and inspiring followers. it always works out for us, the state"

NEW Elon Musk’s DOGE is seeking access to a heavily guarded Internal Revenue Service system that includes detailed financial information about every taxpayer, business and nonprofit in the country, sparking alarm within the tax agency.

"the Department of Veterans Affairs announced the dismissal of more than 1,000 employees who had served for less than two years. That included researchers working on cancer treatment, opioid addiction, prosthetics and burn pit exposure, U.S. Sen. Patty Murray, a Democrat, said Thursday."

This. This this this

The veneration of white men to the exclusion of every other American has an historical parallel, I’m sure. I just can’t think of what it is…

At the moment, mansion-sized Asteroid 2024-YR4 has a one-in-fifty chance of hitting Earth in the next eight years. Now might be a bad time to reduce spending on Science. Just sayin’.

Termination notices going out this afternoon to more than 300 employees of the National Cancer Institute. Access likely ends today. Four weeks paid leave and that’s it. Strong power move for Team Cancer.

👀NEWS: Documents show the Senate Banking Committee chairman has been pressing regulators to let banks charge you higher fees - all while he's raking in millions of dollars of Wall St campaign cash. Now he's trying to kill a rule limiting overdraft fees.

A huge decision from Judge Amir Ali, meticulously reasoned and utterly scathing, finding that Trump’s foreign aid freeze is almost certainly an illegal and arbitrary abuse of power. He orders the immediate restoration of all international assistance. s3.documentcloud.org/documents/25...

The Russians have lost most of an entire fleet to a nation that doesn't have a navy, what the fuck is hegseth talking about man

Maybe this is how Musk knew about the personal finances of some of the civil servants he has targeted.

NEWS - As soon as DOJ's Public Integrity Section was informed it would be taking over Mayor Adams case, John Keller, the acting head of the unit and his boss, Kevin Driscoll, the senior most career official in DOJ's criminal division resigned, according to multiple sources. bsky.app/profile/kfau...

One note: In her letter to Bondi, Sassoon strongly implies that Alex Spiro proposed a quid pro quo, immigration enforcement for dismissal of the charges. legacy.www.documentcloud.org/documents/25... Know who else Spiro represents? Elon Musk.

The National Park Service has removed "T" and all mention of transgender people from the Stonewall National Monument. Trans women were some of the most influential activists behind the Stonewall movement and what followed. 3 articles of clothing laws were why raids happened. Erasure.

US Special Air Mission in Moscow today

NEW: A military fighter jet has crashed into San Diego Bay. This is the sixth plane collision and the second military collision since Donald Trump took office.

Seems bad…

Something darkly poetic that this is happening as RFK gets confirmed tomorrow

When Trump was sworn in, Elon Musk's corporations were under more than 32 investigations conducted by at least 11 federal agencies. Most of the cases are now closed or likely to be closed soon, and the federal agencies are being defanged by DOGE. Funny how that works, huh?

So here's a thought. What if all the rest of the White House press corps stopped showing up until the AP's reinstated?

This is basically the same pattern we see with allegations of election fraud: managing election data is complex, and require specific system knowledge. People who don't understand the dynamics of the system assume workarounds, redundancy and quirks are FRAUD and refuse to talk to be disabused.

@andykimnj.bsky.social don’t sound so pained and defensive. State with clarity that you will not allow your vote to be used to legitimize a flagrantly illegal and dangerous power grab by a private citizen who is unelected and unconfirmed, and who is working to dismantle our federal government.

#ReidOutBlog: A Trump executive order reportedly has ended a racial discrimination probe at Tesla A recent executive order kneecapped a key Labor Department office responsible for investigating federal contractors — including Elon Musk’s Tesla — that have been accused of workplace discrimination.

1/This may truly blowup #KashPatel nomination On left: Patel Testimony: "I'm not aware" of purge inside DOJ/FBI and "don't know what's going on." On right: Whistleblowers tell Senate that Patel was directing the purge! Contemporaneous note: “KP wants movement at FBI, reciprocal actions for DOJ”

Just cut to the chase: is any one of them a forensic accountant??

This is a great piece.

Not a single Republican senator stood against Gabbard -- ignoring the law requiring the director of national intelligence to have deep national-security experience. She has none. She represents the disastrous rise of misplaced power, and a danger to the United States. www.axios.com/2025/02/10/t...

So after promising to focus on safety, they’ve gotten right down to work… on gender terminology?

In the weeks since Trump took office, Elon Musk has posted on X at the pace of an iPad-addicted child. A sample: In two hours on Friday, Musk tweeted more than 40 times—about once every three minutes. @nlanard.bsky.social on the clear story the posts tell:
