So today, in the Assisted Dying vote I learned a new term - the "Active Abstention" when someone votes both ways and effectively cancels themselves. Emma Hardy (Labour) did this. This contrasts with the "Passive Abstention" when a person does not vote. Good grief, I sound like @iandunt.bsky.social
