I'm a Beckett scholar, and I was wondering what your main thoughts were? The general perception is the English leans more into the comedy aspects, but are you thinking of more local differences?

I think that general idea is maybe true. What’s struck me is that it’s in no way a literal translation. Estragon is a little more ambiguous in the French? And a tad naughtier in the English?
