RT if you derive joy from that

Prices are soaring, your 401k is in the tank, Social Security phone lines are hours long. Instead of addressing any of that – this administration is picking a fight with Denmark.

The lawlessness, cruelty, and corruption has gone too far. On April 5, we unite to say: Hands Off Our Democracy! Hands Off Our Health Care! Hands Off Social Security! Hands Off Our Data! Hands Off Public Schools! Hands Off Our Bodies! Hands Off Our Wallets! Hands Off Public Lands! handsoff2025.com

John Keker of Keker, Van Nest & Peters’ message to big firms wavering or scared: Stand up. Don’t just be scared for yourself—be scared for the entire situation, for the rule of law, and for the role of lawyers in this democracy.

The level of corruption is off the charts. He purchased a president, and now wants #Wisconsin to give him a Supreme Court. Please tell this villain “no”! #VoteCrawford

Chris Murphy: "They're sitting there telling the American people that 2+2=7...those were attack plans, those were war plans, that was classified information, everybody knows it. The idea that they think they can get away with this level of gaslighting- it just strikes at the foundation of democracy"

To all our Postal Workers and Post Offices out there: we got your back! We know how vital the US Postal Service is to communities across America, and we are fighting to ensure the postal service is here to stay!

📌Judge Crawford has locked up violent criminals, shielded seniors from scams, and stood up to both corporations and government when our freedoms were on the line. ✅ Vote for Judge Susan Crawford. Our future & democracy depends on it.

We will not be distracted. We will not be discouraged. We’ve got our eyes on the prize. And we will build the prosperous, free nation for all that we deserve. The time to organize is now. OcasioCortez.com

"When you are talking about an imminent attack, notwithstanding the fact that Jeffrey Goldberg was there, notwithstanding the fact that it's on an unsecured app, but by nature this stuff is classified. If Benny didn't have his head so far up the Republican Party's ass, he's be able to see that."

A barbarian horde has taken over the United States government.

"It has become rapidly clear that people like Ms. Ozturk are being used as trial balloons for what will be a much wider operation to eliminate due process in this country for anyone expressing views that run counter to Trump’s ideology." charlotteclymer.substack.com/p/you-are-no...

h/t @peff.com

"Removing improper ideology" doesn't sound at all Soviet or Orwellian. It's exactly the sort of thing a country with "a history of liberty" (as this EO says elsewhere) would do to celebrate the freedoms that have made it great.

A+

the one downside of this app is that i can’t wave trump’s union busting executive order in the faces of every credulous dipshit who insisted that the GOP was a worker’s party now

Hey! @chrismurphyct.bsky.social & I are hitting the road to fight the billionaire takeover of our government. This Saturday, we'll be in Warren, MI to give real answers to real people. If your Rep is hiding, let us know—we’ll come to you! RSVP here to join us in Warren: bit.ly/ThePeoplesTownHallMI

This is painful, and saddening, and embarrassing. I feel like we're losing a member of the family - and for no good reason other than that some Americans wanted another season of the worst reality TV show in history.

One thing that is fairly clear at this point is that the entire point of whisking people out of the country with no due process in defiance of a judge's orders to put them into a foreign gulag *was so they could produce fascist content*.

The Trump regime will round you up off the street and arrest you because you spoke your mind. And federal agents in plain clothes and unmarked cars who refuse to identify themselves will be the ones to do it. It's fascism. Call it what it is.

Pete Hegseth disseminated classified information in violation of the law, putting American servicemembers at risk. Hegseth must resign or be fired for this staggering national security breach. A special counsel must be appointed to investigate possible criminal

No matter your station in life, there is astoundingly little separating you from those men in that cage behind Kristi Noem. No charges, no attorneys, no hearings, no trial. Just conjecture and brute force could be enough to justify completely dehumanizing you, too.

Not a historian, but to my knowledge, this is the first time a sitting US Senator — or member of Congress, generally — or perhaps any senior US gov’t official — has included an f-bomb in an official press release. www.duckworth.senate.gov/news/press-r...

“What if the UAW are right about what is good for them?” would be a lot more convincing if they were not cheering on the destruction of the industry they work in. We’re capable of recognizing CEOs as economically irrational, unions can be too.

“The 5 things Pete Hegseth did last week” - Shared classified attack plans on an unsecured commercial chat application. - Denied doing it. - Denied the plans were classified. - Denied the plans were plans. - Attacked the journalist who proved he was lying.

Closing rural post offices will do the same thing that closing rural schools has done: Empty out rural towns. Why? To sell off farmland for rock bottom prices to the oligarchs. Water and mineral rights and CAFOs polluting with impunity. It’s been the plan for decades.

A worker making $50,000 a year contributes to Social Security with 100% of their income. A CEO making $20 million a year contributes to Social Security with less than 1% of their income. Who agrees it’s time to scrap the cap?

They are just disappearing people off the street. Having a hard time thinking about literally anything else.

TLDR: Pete Hegseth should resign. If he doesn't, he should be removed.

If you think what happened to Rumeysa Ozturk can't happen to you because you're a citizen and she's not, you are sorely mistaken. Ozturk was snatched off the street not for being a national security threat but for having a wrong opinion. If we don't put a stop to this, it's coming for all of us.

thinking of one of abraham lincoln's great quotes this morning: "As I would not be a slave, so I would not be a master. This expresses my idea of democracy. Whatever differs from this, to the extent of the difference, is no democracy."

I think this has actually become a common shot for far-right influencers. Bukele will let you in and then you can take a fun Instagram picture in front of the human rights atrocity

Only a soulless ghoul records this video

Contrary to what Trump wants us to believe—everything is NOT fine‼️ Retired General Anderson: “There are lives at risk right now because of what was in that strand… the Houthis know that we have somebody on the ground...” Take 2 minutes…

Kristi Noem’s Desperate Stunt: Exploiting Foreign Prisoners for Political Fearmongering

MTG 🤢 and the MAGA crew going after PBS and NPR is peak ignorance. We learned math, kindness, and the ABCs from Big Bird & the gang—not billionaires. Greg Casar is right: I’ve seen a lot, but blaming Elmo to shield Elon Musk is a whole new low. Muppets Rule! @repcasar.bsky.social

Castro: "The idea that this information, if it was presented to our committee, would not be classified, you all know is a lie. That's ridiculous."

he’s crashing out

“Should the precise timing of an imminent surprise attack be classified as secret?” kinda answers itself.

you know i have never actually just listened to her speak and uh, the white house could use a professional up there

Let it begin.

After the Atlantic published the texts this morning, Tulsi Gabbard is confronted today on why she lied in her testimony to the Senate yesterday. She says she misremembered.

Oh wow, @jeffreygoldberg.bsky.social did it
