I try to start the convo from a point of agreement - May have to go all the way back to “ok, we should all benefit from effective government”, but starting with agreement helps drop defensiveness.
If a reasonable agreement point can’t be found, no convo is necessary bc that’s not what they want.

I think you’re totally right (sadly…& sorry). But I think he wants to puff up his own importance as his end result. I think the ppl behind him are the ones who will use his narcissism to carry out their sadism. Potato potahto now, but a distinction nonetheless.
