Some supposed progressives seem to forget that the purpose of government is to serve and help people. We don't owe Trump voters a relationship or forgiveness (esp. if they haven't done anything to show they deserve those things), but we cannot say government only serves us the righteous.

I think part of it is his winning the general-- too many Dem electeds have pivoted to "well we need to appeal to his voters, now" and pinned their hopes on econ policies he's slow walking. Meanwhile the c3/c4s that would normally push protest are scared of martial law and loss of nonprofit status.
