Listening to this I was struck by the fact you don't see many young children called Barry. Which lead me to check the stats. Now I'm left wondering why the Barry popularity graph looks like Batman.

I continue to believe the most important thing I have read for understanding modern right is Daily Stormer style guide, which explains how they get radical ideas into mainstream press with (im)plausible deniability.

A-fucking-men. 🙏🏻

Worth a listen if you are interested in Australian politics in the run up to the next General Election. Great choice of name too - oddly it reminds me of Big Bad Barrie, the fish in Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom.

I've lived in Australia for over a year and I've never heard the term stealthing until this article.

This whole thing stinks of a 4chan conspiracy, turning into an opportunity. “See, Soros stole it all under Obama to fund the stolen election”, while trucks line up to haul it to Florida.

Our fascists are Extremely Cringe.

UK - get your act together

The Daily Star mostly ignores politics. Whether it does decide to focus on a political story though, you aren't left wondering what their view on it is.

DOGE recommended firing workers at: -FDA, which oversees Neuralink -FAA, which oversees SpaceX -USAID, which probed Starlink -CFPB, which oversees Tesla's financing arm and a potential payment platform on X. "Conflict of interest" is a severe understatement.

Must-read piece. Europe cannot afford to be the chorus in a Greek tragedy, wringing its hands on the edge of the stage while horrors unfold elsewhere. Ukraine’s success is a vital interest for European countries, including the UK. They need to act, not wait for Trump to harm their interests.

Billionaire Clive Palmer has officially launched his new political party, Trumpet of Patriots, drawing inspiration from US President Donald Trump’s MAGA movement. www.skynews.com.au/australia-ne...

Oh, look what normal countries do when a former president leads a far right coup attempt.

Catholic bishops sue Trump administration for ‘pulling the rug out’ from under refugee programs

Not again...

Firing this many Department of Defense workers at once, who will now desperately need new sources of income, is a huge gift to enterprising foreign intelligence agencies looking for info on the US military and defense sector

Trumpet of Patriots is such a lame name for a political party

Based on who’d probably use this app and the general “thoroughness” of service-app safety/background checks, I say we let this one play itself out
