I will continue to vote straight blue (even though I don't consider myself a Democrat), but it's discouraging to see so many Democrats with no self-awareness. I can see why they drive some people away. I have to leave social media.

The important thing is that the Democrats have people to blame; no need for introspection.

Bernie supported Hillary after the primaries. I certainly voted for her. However, I heard that one of the many things that lost it for her was the knowledge that the Democrats fixed the primaries. The Republicans at the time let the voters decide, the Democrats tried not to. Which way worked?

What sort of unity? The unity that handed all three branches of the government to the Republicans? Hogg's attitude of getting rid of ineffective politicians seems to be a good approach.

Did he really basically say "Can I say one more thing? It's really stupid, but it's on my 'things I'm supposed to mindlessly repeat' list."

I wish the current administration was as good at following the law as these immigrants.

If we had honest, impartial reporting on President Trump and his doings, we wouldn't have President Trump.

Hegseth was not appointed defense secretary because he'd be good at the job, and his complete incompetence may have helped him get his position. Own the libs! (Same goes with the other Trump appointees.) He got the job because he is hate-filled. He's doing what he was hired to do.

Wow. Just wow.
I recall an old insult is that Will "I never met a man I didn't like" Rogers met so-and-so and punched him in the face. In this case, if her lord and saviour Jesus Christ ever came face to face with Joni Ernst, he'd slap her around.

Every accusation is a confession. Trump is a robot.

I think it was Mark Twain who said he had a neighbor who boasted he was going to climb Mount Sinai and recite the ten commandments. Mark Twain suggested his neighbor stay where he was and keep the commandments.

The Supreme Court. That's who needs to hear this.

Duh!
This is why it's abhorrent that the richest among us avoid paying their fair share.
comment in response to
post
Do you mean that the government provides necessities and the money comes from people contributing their fair share? The problem is that some who benefit the most from society (the 1%) are loathe to contribute. These are indeed the moochers.

While that part of the bill can't be taken seriously, it's unfortunate to see how much the GOP thinks the law doesn't apply to them.

He was stating a fact, which somehow offends you.
And your response, for some reason, is to insult people.

No, it's a Republican bill.
But it sure would be nice to have an effective opposition party.

Well, they try to make her look stupid, but only stupid, insecure people believe them.
She's smart, knows what she's talking about, and decent. So people who are none of these attack her.

Social media isn't typically a reliable source, but in this case they're more on top of things than some in the mainstream media, such as the NYT.
The mainstream media used to hold public figures accountable, now they explain why the public figures shouldn't be accountable. Result: 2 Trump terms.

But the explosives that Trump used on the economy could have taken down a brick house?

Satire?
When Will Rogers was asked where he got his jokes, he supposedly said "I watch the government and report the facts."

The reason there's no trickle down yet is that the rich haven't gotten enough tax cuts. Trump/Musk are working on fixing that.
