I was going to ask if the script for this still exists, but then I realized that's just the Bible

Happy Trombone Tuesday to everyone who walks into their neighborhood bar and starts doing wah-wahs with no explanation

This makes me want to move to New York so I can vote for him

Star Trek: The Animated Series looks like it should be a terrible cheap schlocky mess ... but it actually has some pretty amazing writing and acting. So, why is it so much better than it needed to be? We get into it in this week's bonus video: www.patreon.com/posts/130911...

Universal Pictures is celebrating Pride by placing a copyright claim on footage of me simply talking about a movie

That’s me!

I always loved Lwaxana. Thanks for this video @mattbaume.bsky.social. It's great to see myself credited as a Patron. All of you followers need to support Matt. Characters like Lwaxana are mother figures to many of us giving needed guidance. As my mother left us in 2023 this is important.

Hello Seattle, I’m listening (to some great conversations about gay sitcoms)

My neighborhood bookstore! Go there! Right now (well, in an hour)! It’s conveniently located right next to a train station and the cafe is grand.

Seattle! Starting in one hour!

I don't know anyone other than @televisionaryzw.bsky.social who's looking for Barney Miller hot takes in 2025 but I think the show missed an opportunity by not having Wojo be bisexual

Queer like me!

Seattle! Tomorrow! Join me at the Northgate Barnes & Noble from noon to 4pm!

One of my favorite Will & Grace episodes -- here's the show making a not-at-all-subtle jab at their own network's reluctance to show any sort of same-sex physical affection:

Hey Seattle, if you enjoy Bea Arthur making snide remarks about homosexuality, come join me this Sunday at the Northgate Barnes & Noble! I'll be hanging out, signing books, and showing some of my very favorite gay sitcom moments, of which about 73% involve at least one Golden Girl

My favorite thing about this image is that it's such powerful gay nerd representation. Look at those socks! And is that a pocket protector???

Kind of a cautionary tale here -- some of Brokeback Mountain's Oscars ads downplayed the gay angle, presumably to be more palatable to Academy voters, but it lost anyway. (Anne Hathaway wasn't even nominated!) I wonder if it would've done better if the ads were more up-front.

Seattle peeps, go and see Matt Baume. Hosted by my former coworkers at Barnes And Noble, Northgate. Lovely people, good times.

There are so many good jokes in the Golden Girls episode with Blanche's brother and his boyfriend that it's impossible to pick a favorite, but this one is way up there:

On this week's Sewers of Paris, we're talking about the strange overlap between low-budget horror and gay diners. Available now at SewersOfParis.com and wherever you get your podcasts:

Going through some files from 2005 when I was teaching myself Maya and found this fetching sculpture

How your email finds me

Thanks to this episode, there is only one way that I can say the word "lesbian" now

How gay did Gene Roddenberry want to make Star Trek? VERY GAY, with gay officers and romances and even a pansexual orgy. (Yes an ORGY.) So... why didn't it happen? The story's in this week's Patreon bonus video: www.patreon.com/posts/bonus-...

Looking forward to Gwar Gwednesday

Happy Trombone Tuesday to all who celebrate

An amazing episode of The Jeffersons, literally decades ahead of its time. I'll be showing this & lots more at my book signing this Sunday:

Happy pride month ❤️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

Seattle! I'm bringing a bunch of my favorite Golden Girls clips to the Northgate Barnes & Noble this Sunday! Hope you can make it out --
