A pair of coyotes and a Red-tailed hawk at another camera at this site.

We found Upland Sandpiper nests in cover crop and mowed grassland at this site, but catching them on camera is fun! They seem to be undergoing a decade-long transition from a grassland-nesting species to a cropland-nesting species in our region, due to a lack of the one and abundance of the other.

And it gets even more complicated when you consider that adding habitat can actually increase many fragmentation metrics in very sparse landscapes.

EML is a XML file type and is machine-readable, but not (easily) human-readable. EML files can be browsed using ezEML, but for our projects I wrote a RMarkdown script that uses package 'EML' to assemble a document that can be easily read by interested users. doi.org/10.32614/CRAN.package.EML
