Our white supremacist rapist president had his unqualified, white supremacist, drunken rapist Defense secretary fire generals and attorneys on a Friday evening for the crimes of not being white and/or not being loyalist "yes" men willing to sign off on crimes.

This is a shameful way to treat our fellow citizens who are public servants. This doesn’t make America great.

“The thing that I can’t get over is that the actual richest man in the world directed my fucking firing. I make $50k a year and work to keep drinking water safe. The richest man in the world decided that was an expense too great for the American taxpayer.”

Just to be clear on the big picture: It is outrageous for Brazilian courts to order global removal of political speech that is legal in other countries. It is also outrageous for Trump to ask a U.S. court for an order telling a Brazilian Supreme Court Justice what he can and can't do.

When Brendan isn't busy polishing Elon's shoes or iron cross, or surrendering his independent agency to a president in ways he'd have screamed about under a Democrat, he still has time amidst threatening journalists to lob childish (and ageist) insults at his predecessors. What a cool guy! #1A

It’s just plain cathartic when these hateful dolts get called on their bullshit and have to listen to facts for one damn minute, before they can even get the MAGA disinfosphere to start attacking and threatening the judge.

Here's our @freepress.bsky.social statement on Trump's latest authoritarian stroke -- this time to neuter all independent agencies (except for the ones that Wall Street demands stay independent). From @notaaroncraig.bsky.social

Remember when Republicans at agencies, like Ajit Pai and his staffer Brendan Carr, made their (false) allegations of Obama's supposed control of the FCC? They're sure hoping you don't. But some of us have pretty long memories, and also aren't selling out our principles to appease authoritarians.

This new EO is a doozy, clearly written to test the constitutionality of independent agencies at the SCt. It purports to effectively bring all independent agencies - including the Fed Election Cmsn and the Fed (in part) under presidential control. Irreconcilable w/existing law full stop. /1

NEW: Here is Trump's executive order purporting to end the independence of multi-member head independent agencies. www.documentcloud.org/documents/25...

Our govt was founded with an array of checks & balances to prevent singular, autocratic power held by one or the few. Trump’s newest fact sheet is a bald-faced rejection of these democratic checks & balances, a dangerous red flag of consolidating executive power: www.whitehouse.gov/fact-sheets/...

Republican lawmakers held a hearing on "The Censorship-Industrial Complex" to rehash old grievances. Here's what Free Press co-CEO Craig Aaron warned lawmakers about the free-speech crisis facing our country: https://www.freepress.net/blog/free-speech-under-attack-heres-what-i-want-congress-know

We are in a moment where people are shredding the Constitution instead of standing up to Trump and Musk. Our co-CEO — who just testified in Congress — describes the risks. https://www.freepress.net/blog/trump-musk-congress-lies

Yes, booing the U.S. national anthem is disrespectful to Americans—but you know what’s worse? The U.S. president repeatedly and publicly telling the world that Canada has no right to exist and should be part of the U.S.🇺🇸🇨🇦

Elon Musk posted these two tweets on the same day

BREAKING: The Trump administration pressured Romania to lift travel restrictions on Andrew and Tristan Tate. U.S. officials raised the issue in a call with the Romanian government, pushing for their passports to be returned and for them to travel while awaiting trial, Financial Times reports.

“Utter nonsense.” Andrew Natsios, Republican former USAID administrator, dismisses Trump and Musk’s allegations against the agency, calling it “the most accountable aid agency in the world.”

Burgum goes full Pyongyang on Fox & Friends: "Watching President Trump in the beast, leading the pace car, leading the field of the most talented drivers in the world, kicking off the entire Nascar season for America, when he was doing that it reminded me of how he's actually leading the world."

It’s so important to put it all together as @attackerman.bsky.social does. The project of forcing AI into schools is well underway and has nothing to do with giving students skills.

I maxed out my credit card, emptied my savings account, and took out a loan to move from Alabama to Bethesda, MD. I don’t even qualify for unemployment since I’ve only worked at NIH for a month. I will be financially and medically devastated. Seeking suggestions for anywhere that’s hiring!!

Every state should press charges-

When I heard Musk say this on Tuesday, my assumption was that it was a programming issue. Because I can code and have written to databases and because I am familiar with other examples of default values being misinterpreted. Yet somehow Musk isn't.

Given developments at the Kennedy Center, effective today I am resigning as artistic advisor to the NSO. Not for me. It’s been a wonderful 8 years working with Kennedy Center President Deb Rutter, fellow artistic advisor Renee Fleming, NSO artistic administrator Justin Ellis, and the entire NSO
