How would this even get past IRB?
Like, could this just be a de facto ban?

Have you considered that they found the left less attractive because people where incessantly talking about "wokeness", as thought is was equal or worse to the actual fascist authoritarians?

This is such a weird take, like if they know the inefficiencies, they would just remove them themselves.
The take that somehow everyone knows where the inefficiencies exist, but can almost never point to any specific examples should be a give away.
Government is complex, hot take, I know.

If true, that is super illegal.
Like IRBs are basically made to prevent that specific thing.

The change from the in public opinion on this issue can't really be ascribed to anything else either.
Like, there is not really new data in the last 5-10 years or incidents, just overwhelming media coverage of like 3 trans athletes.
But they the NYT editorial page will never take responsibility.

Well that's not really their goal to be fair. Their goal is for Columbia to disinvestment from Israel, as far as student based popular support, they seemed to achieve that, whether you agree with them or not

Do you disagree with the statement an occupied people have a right to military resistance against an occupying force?

A movements possible incompetence is not really related to the moral standing of the claims made.
Kinda goalpost moving.

Obviously you have no proof of that, believe what makes you happy, but the actual words of the statement are completely in line with the traditional understanding of international law, irrelevant of the day they are said on.
comment in response to

I mean armed resistance is basically a right for any occupied people, the statement seems taken intentionally to imply support for terrorism, but nothing in there justifies that.

The irony of calling his blog "persuasion" and the just going with "you can change people views, so let's just give those up".

Wonder if any of these studies adjust for people who actually like nature walks.
Nature walks are just a common activity people like, depression and anxiety are reduced by doing things you like is almost tautological.
If someone hates them, I doubt this is true.

The weird thing about this take, is that it is actually stronger in the other direction.
Like, most experts in this research, such WPATH disagree with the cass review's conclusions.
