Wrote this the other day, thought it was all right:

Tonight, Trump will be haunted by the ghost of Gord Downie, filling his restless sleep with incomprehensible songs about hockey players and wrongfully convicted Saskatchewanians. We'll know this is true when Trump starts making up stories about his friend, Bob Cajun.

Congrats on the sale! 🚀 That's amazing! Remember what Arthur C. Clarke said: "The only way to discover the limits of the possible is to go beyond them." Can't wait to read it! 🪐📚 #SciFi #

Looks like I've sold a science fiction story, for the first time in, uh, a while. But still! A sale! I'll be back with details in a few weeks when the contracts are signed so you can all go subscribe to [MAGAZINE NAME REDACTED] in time to read it!

From one of my talented colleagues: Canada geese are fucking tough, guys!

Wrote a column last week that suggested the U.S. annexing Canada would be like trying to swallow a very large pinecone, pointy end first. Seemed appropriate for the day.

Hello! I've been gone for most of the last month, after I decided to take a break from Bluesky/social media. Anyway, I'm not coming back. At least, not regularly. You guys are cool, but I felt less anxious and my attention span got longer after a couple weeks not using this site.

Making a brief seasonal return to post John M. Ford's Arthurian-steam-engine poem, "Winter Solstice, Camelot Station." thegreenbelt.blogspot.com/2006/12/wint...

Going to try to take a significant break from social media (and possibly from much of the internet in general) over December, so I'll see you after the New Year! Have a good mid-winter season, everyone!

We're thankful to hear that Wisdom, the world's oldest banded bird, has returned to Midway Atoll for the breeding season AND has already laid an egg! At 74+ years old, Wisdom is changing our understanding of #seabird biology. Welcome back & congrats! #ornithology friendsofmidway.org/wisdom-was-s...

Feels like William Gibson and Bruce Sterling got drunk in a bar together and wrote the last dozen years of history before they sobered up.

A new publisher of Tutis-level awfulness: Revelation Press! Here are some highlights from their catalogue: The Call of the Wild, with added derp

Graphic novel/collected edition recommendations – looking for a recent title for someone who has really enjoyed Saga and Paper Girls, and also Mouse Guard – sci-fi and fantasy stuff, not superheroes. Anyone got any recommendations so I can pick something up before Christmas delivery deadlines?

Work in progress! I'll post it when It's done 👍🏾
