Never knowingly taking it above 122 bpm.

youtube.com/watch?v=1xbJ... I'll try again ##raveyardshift

Late addition to #raveyardshift youtube.com/watch?v=qtUK...

For context, Radiohead's 'Paranoid Android' was releasedas a single on the Monday following the broadcast of the second of tonight's 1997 #TOTP repeats. So, there's something to ponder.

Five years since we lost this genius. More than thirty years since he did this - still sounds utterly imperious and fair to say it did have massive influence on me which lasts to this day youtube.com/watch?v=felj...

I for one, have really missed a Portillo-related closing monologue on Only Connect.

That this happened thirty years ago today makes me feel incredibly old.

I like Spiritualized as such, but I really like Spacemen 3, so I guess there's positives for heroin abuse in that respect.

I'm sorry, but it's difficult to watch the BeeGees in the latter 1990s without thinking of the Chaka Khan western shoot-out sketch off Big Train #Totp

"I used to be psychic but I drank my way out of it"

@chrislepkowski.bsky.social I told you this was an actual song. John Motson and Trevor Brooking commentating on the 1986 World Cup Quarter Final penalty shoot-out to a samba rhythm by the late J Saul Kane. A phenomenal piece of music www.youtube.com/watch?v=TS6X...

Thirty years on and I'm starting to realise how good the Suede 'b' sides were. www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlLZ...

@michaelglasper.bsky.social Reading 'No Such Thing As Society' by Andy McSmith. If it wasn't troubling enough to read that widescreen TVs were a thing in 1981, he's got a very limited knowledge of Adam and the Ants.

Preliminary graphics for Piero Gratton's iconic 'Lupetto' AS Roma badge 1978.

Best gig of the year was definitely the Flowerbuds next to the Paradise campsite.

Kris Akabusi answering questions on Friedrich Nietzsche on Celebrity Mastermind is a moment I didn't expect. Probably have Keith Deller doing Kiergegaard tomorrow.

Just spent half an hour trying to convince the other half that up until the early 1980s, cars usually only came with one wing mirror. She's not having it.

It's the small things that make Christmas. Like that time all I wanted was a frisbee and my dad told me I'd have to earn it.

Nights am drawing out again now though, ay they?

Thanks to @anthonyteasdale.bsky.social for reminding me that this existed - I honestly thought I'd dreamt it for thirty years. #Raveyardshift www.youtube.com/watch?v=urdy...

He was a bit of a prick He smothered his wife He bumped into a tram And it cost him his life Alan Bradley's coming to town

#raveyardshift I think few Sugarcubes songs were much improved by a remix. @justinrobertsonart.bsky.social managed it with an utterly imperious working over of Birthday, but Tony Humphries just rocks the bollocks with this one www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFLS...

Still proud to be the top-rated for topical comment in the Black Country/West Midlands area.

This documentary on Brawn Racing and Jenson Button was good, but I felt it could've been improved with a few more shots of Christian Horner with a face on him.

#TOTP Super Furries in the chart with 'The Man Don't Give A F**k' takes me back to singing that at an appraisal shortly before being sacked.

"A succulent handful of middle-class women of a certain age?"

Controvertial viewpoint, but I prefered this to the A side of 'Lift The Nation' at the time #Raveyardshift youtu.be/a2W34c1N4ek?...

'A Product Of Canada' #Raveyardshift www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhX-...

Not really #Raveyardshift material as such, but I thought I'd get a bit of J Saul Kane in as a tribute www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9P7...

In the early 1980's, microwave ovens, VCRs and bidets were set to change the way we cooked food, watched TV and cleaned our bums after a poo. Air fryers and streaming supplanted the way we cook and watch TV, yet bidets died a death and we went back to paper. I think there's a gap in the market here.
