To be clear, I mean Sasuke's character more than the broader Uchiha mythos stuff. But when I got around to HxH, there were more than a few parts that read like Kishimoto at least leaned on them pretty heavily. My knowledge of 90s shonen trends isn't the deepest though.

Looking forward to seeing how Hunter x Hunter colors your impressions of the Uchiha stuff.

Craziest left leaning person is some random idiot with a twitter account.
Craziest right leaning person is probably a member of congress.

The impact of AI that most worries me is that the way it formulates writing will leach into language more broadly. That folks who regularly encounter AI-generated text will inevitably have it influence their output, even if they aren't using AI.
Was not considering the other way around... ugh

Hank, if you don't charge, how will you be fabulously wealthy in time for unlimited growth to inevitably prove impossible and everything to come crumbling to the ground as the quality of the service declines/price increases in a desperate attempt to keep the cash flowing.

First contact will 100% be some sort of alien grad student writing its thesis on what it says about human attitudes towards sentient life that we collectively agreed this is what alien spacecraft must look like.

If Taco causes Trump to dissolve into a puddle of spraytan and hairspray, I will never complain about stupid words again.

It's simple - from the perspective of the Archea, we're just large stompy environment fucking pathogens.

Have to wonder if Linux on desktop was any more popular back then, lol. Certainly more folks predicting its rise to power...
There are just a ton of folks who don't know that your OS isn't the same thing as the hardware it runs on, and PC gamers who think of Mac and PC like competing consoles.

I think the issue is, how do you respect someone while simultaneously reassuring them that Santa exists? Not in the sense that they're unworthy of respect, but when what they want from you is "treat me like a child" how do you thread that needle?

It remains hilarious that of all the institutions that would have been happy to quietly roll over, Trump accidentally forced the one with most power to resist to actively oppose him.
