Saturday 3rd May WELFARE NOT WARFARE May Day Workers March Brighton

Today is International Workers' Memorial Day when we remember those who have died at work, or as a result of ill health at work. We remember the dead, fight for the living, and fight for safer workplaces for all. #IWMD25

🎗️ Today we honour all workers who have tragically lost their lives due to injuries or illnesses sustained in the workplace. We must renew our commitment to advocating for improved working conditions and enhanced protections to ensure the safety of all employees. #IWMD #GFTU

On Workers' Memorial Day, we remember all those who have lost their lives to work-related illness or injury. Key to keeping people safe at work is a strong, organised union in every workplace. Remember the dead, fight for the living! #IWMD25

Happy International Workers Day. Too many people, even in this day and age, leave their families in the morning to go to work, only to never return home to them again. #InternationalWorkersDay

It has been with equal sadness and relief that I left the Labour Party today. There was once so much hope. #labour #sirkier #austerity

For an ambassador for the UK government to use their platform to publically pontificate their personal opinions is an abuse of that position. A half decent PM would sack Lord Mandelson immediately. #ukraine

Yikes. This is just some of the saplings. I currently have over 45 baby chili plants. This has all got completely out of control. #chili #chiliplants #outofcontrol

Congratulations to BRIT winners Charli XCX (Bishop's Stortford College, £38,319 per year), AG Cook (King Alfred School, £27,747) and The Last Dinner Party (Bedales, £52,075) for showing that people from ordinary backgrounds can reach the top in pop music, that most egalitarian of art forms.

Lovely afternoon at Clapham Woods. No UFOs or occult phenomena were spotted today.

Troubled Thames Water has been a problem for years, for the workforce and consumers alike. Government is right to prepare for special administration. Thames Water must get the long term investment needed to stop the leaks and spills. Not investors looking for a quick buck.
