This is silly. When a candidate loses, their party tries to understand why they lost and learn lessons that they can apply to the next election. You would have them learn nothing and run exactly the same campaign they lost with last time.

NYT ran more front page stories about Clinton's e-mails in the last two weeks before the 2016 election than they did about all policy issues put together in the last two *months* before the election. This isn't about "the exact right headlines"; it's about not participating in pro-Trump propaganda.
