They are missed though. The sector has structural characteristics that benefit organizing and manufacturing in the US tends to be more highly value added and relatively skilled which does make the jobs better. That’s not Trump’s vision but people often really do want these jobs.

Staying on-side of your caucus majority is a very basic task of being a legislative leader and If you can’t move them you have to suck it up and go along the get along. Taking the minority position into a big vote is disqualifying.
