Oopsies went 5 years without having an eye exam. Pleased to see the doctor and assistants in well-fitted kn95 masks. But for patients it’s only “masking preferred” in the exam rooms. I wish healthcare places would require masking! I had to indicate I wouldn’t remove/adjust my mask a couple times.

Language matters. I shutter every time I hear someone refer to the pandemic or Covid in the past. “During COVID we…” It’s still during COVID! People’s actions might be in a post-covid world but it’s not a post-covid world. “Back to normal” = public health failing us and ppl living in denial.
