The Academy has resolved the "nominees to be determined" for Emilia Pérez and Nickel Boys. For Emilia Pérez, the producers nominated for Best Picture are Pascal Caucheteux and Jacques Audiard. For Nickel Boys, the nominees are Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Joslyn Barnes.

I don't think we're prepared for the amount of public outrage that's about to occur when people discover that many insurance companies stopped covering fire damage in a the areas impacted by these fires, and that the state fund is nowhere near adequate to make up for the losses incurred. Netflix put together a cool FYC video showcasing the Sounds of Emilia Pérez. Reminds me of the sound montages at the 2015 Oscars. There's a lot going on sonically with the film that you don't appreciate on first viewing. Impressive from both a mix and design perspective.
