A colleague at Stanford’s business school used The Stanford Daily to argue—poorly—against DEI. The piece was riddled with historical errors and left one searching for fact, so I broke my public writing hiatus to respond. I hope you’ll read and share the piece. stanforddaily.com/2025/04/22/w...

Why is James Talarico not representing the Dems on a national platform? He is so clearly the real deal.

A picture paints a 1000 words! Our heroes of pro-democracy! #MomSky

The number of comments I'm seeing unconcerned about the erosion of due process is insane. It's not about coddling bad guys. It exists to protect all of us from government over reach and abuse. You'd think the Gadsden flag crowd would get that. Let due process go, and good luck keeping your guns.

Why is DHS spokesmodel Kristi Noem posing in front of Salvadoran MS13 gang members? Where are the people our government sent down there? Where are the deportees?

I think about this film a lot lately. youtu.be/vGAqYNFQdZ4?...

Confirming, as was obvious from context already, that this wasn’t a one-off. They are routinely using Signal to evade statutory record retention requirements.

DOGE isn't just cutting vital government services. Each federal job loss could also result in the loss of at least one additional worker in the private sector. Working people having less money in their pockets to spend stifles local economies. What’s “efficient” about that?

I think all these protests at all the different agencies as well as every other issue are too spread out. They all should be in Lafayette Park all day every day until it out grows Lafayette and moves to the mall. Every group / issue united.

“In some cases, photos seemed to be flagged for removal simply because their file included the word ”gay,” including service members with that last name and an image of the B-29 aircraft Enola Gay, which dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan, during World War II.”

Kaine: "You can talk about sending education back to the states. Yeah, that's where we were before Brown v. Board of Education. The states got to decide, and the states made a hell of a lot of decisions that were really awful."

For the rest of my life, I will never understand how a country full of people busting their asses, working paycheck to paycheck, allow the fucking richest guy on Earth to call them "parasites" while calling the Social Security we contributed to our entire lives "a Ponzi scheme." Un-fucking-real.

Tariffs are the new infrastructure week

So, the "Screw USAID we need to care for our own like the veterans" crowd is so quiet lately. Nothing to say about DOGE laying off veterans by the thousands while simultaneously cutting VA services? How odd.

I watched about 35 seconds. Can't do it.

Democratic lawmakers are expected to communicate their opposition to Donald Trump during the president’s joint address to Congress on Tuesday night by color-coordinating.
