Knock of the Gestapo was my 5th story published in Commando. A Gestapo investigator turns up at a remote manor where 3 SS officers are plotting their escape from the advancing allies. It’s a twisty Noir detective story. Cover art by Neil Roberts. #comic #ww2

It’s #Glasgow850 - celebrating 850 years since the city became a Royal Burgh. Find out what’s on www.glasgow850.com

I played the Traveller RPG a bit in the 80s and enjoyed the comic strip in White Dwarf (83-86). I recently found that all the episodes are online here - www.2000ad.org/markus/trave...

Awful weather, illustrated in the Glasgow Looking Glass by William Heath in 1825-26. We’re making a modern version of the publication for #Glasgow850

If you see this post a knight! William Wallace and Andrew Murray.

Truth

On a visit to the Mitchell Library in Glasgow yesterday I was able to look through original copies of the Glasgow Looking Glass - here’s one of the first examples of speech bubbles used in cartoons. We’re making a new issue for the 200th anniversary in June.

Picked these up in Forbidden Planet, Glasgow, for £1 each. They date from 1997. There are more if anyone’s interested, and Commandos too.

That time Doomlord nearly got me at Lawless Comic Con. A great event - highly recommended.

Say NO to AI in comics

My fourth story published in Commando comic was The Tygrys. Loosely based on the real Polish submarine, the Orzeł, the story follows the crew as they try to fix their damaged sub and are pursued by a relentless German torpedo boat Captain. #comic #ww2 #Polska Cover art by Ian Kennedy

One of my current comic projects is producing a modern day version of the 200 year old publication, The Glasgow Looking Glass. The originals were full of satirical cartoons commenting on the politics of the time. Several artists and writers are working on it, and there’s room for more if interested

I love that Commando Comics have brought back many characters originally in Warlord and Victor. This week sees a new story featuring Kampfgruppe Falken from the Warlord comic. Major Heinz Falken leads a punishment battalion fighting the Russians advance on Berlin. #comic #ww2

Could’ve done with one of these coats at the football today.
