Good piece by @mattlamar.bsky.social - the defensive penalty for first basemen in WAR calculations seems too harsh. Also, this year they had their worst OPS collectively since 1968, so the idea you can just find anyone to play it is not as true as it once was. Appreciate Vinnie Pasquantino!

i think people who complain about the language police are, by and large, just cowards. say whatever you want! no one is going to stop you. but people may judge you or even, if you say the wrong thing in front of the wrong person, pop you in the mouth. but that’s life!
