I don't know this situation specifically, but a lot of people have a habit of allowing top players to get away with things that aren't okay just because they're good at the game. I've seen it in so many communities.

Personally, I like to make it informative for runners
A lot of details of tricks will go over the heads of viewers not familiar, so the basics are usually enough
They and runners both can appreciate how much time something saves over alternatives, but it's also immediately useful to the latter
