#StarshipSummer by Eric Brown. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy SF read, a read that presents more than trauma. The characters find friendship, and a dream, or two, is manifested along the way.

#StarshipSummer by Eric Brown. Normally, I prefer more sophisticated characterization but the story moves quickly--revealing a mystery, bit by bit--so it wasn't a problem. The haunted alien starship was a fun hook. The author did a great job of developing that; simple but effective, satisfying.

#StarshipSummer by Eric Brown. The story is presented simply. The dialogue is simple, like you might actually overhear at a beachfront bar. The characters are accomplished but any sophistication they had in their past were left behind. They interact on a very basic, in the moment, human level.

#StarshipSummer by Eric Brown. An engineer of space-elevators from Vancouver, Canada emigrates to far-flung Chalcydones after a personal tragedy. He searches for a home and meets the locals at the local beachfront bar. His decision to buy an old and odd starship serves as conversation starter

Yeah, it's perfectly okay to focus on editing and worldbuilding. In a way, worldbuilding is the perfect way to deal with IRL anxiety.

#UlrichvonHutten failed knight renounces the priesthood to become a scholar, and ends up waging war against the papacy. The book is a sketch of Ulrich's trials and tribulations--a heroic treatment. Quick read. Interesting.

True. The funny thing is that I'm good with writing them. I never want to just tell what the story is about though. So, the challenge is encouraging the curious to actually read the story.

It might not be a good idea to put too much thought into that. It's sounds like it might be one of those 'what would happen if the world blew up' scenarios. No good answers but not a problem unless the world did blow up.

Read: a way to profit by creating a chonic condition?
I know a person that has a kind of lymphoma, multiple tumors, two of them massive, lemon-orange. They don't want to remove them bc a lifetime treatment regimen is considered more efficacious.

#Wagner 1983 biopic, starring Richard Burton. Discovered the 'film' corresponded to only the first half of a 7hr miniseries.
The second half features actual composing.
