Craziest part of it all? It works! It actually works. The system requirements are _so_ goddamn low, now no one has an excuse not to selfhost their own knot :)

This is awesome, but a few days before this article was written the atmo.lol spec changed, it now uses the record's `rkey` as the short value and just a single `url` field in the record for the lengthened URL :) It also now supports bsky profile resolution by simply going to atmo.lol/<handle> !

This is an awesome idea 👀

Push-to-create repos :) although it's cheating because I'm already using Tangled instead of GitHub/GitLab. I was mostly using GitLab until that latest DOGE comment and since then I'm fully on board with you guys. I'm just so used to the workflow of pushing to a nonexistent repo to create it haha

cockpit itself should be in the Ubuntu repos as just cockpit cockpit-docker is available at github.com/chabad360/co...

if your host is a Linux distro, cockpit is great and has a docker plugin

i wish i could say this but i live literally meters from the only railroad track that connects london-scotland (edinburgh and glasgow) 🙃 other than the occasional earblast though it's not a big town and very quiet and lovely at night

This is awesome! A real neat way to use a custom domain with your URL redirects :)

Also my process for things like these is first make a quick and dirty implementation (this), test it, make sure it works, then start polishing it up :) I'll make use of the cursor by the time we have an actual WebUI people can use, but I'm still very new to ATProto and have no frontend exp haha

*a custom link, oops
comment in response to post
This is more or less so that you can have a custom shortened URL e.g. if you make a Notion page you want to send people to, it'd make for a shorter more pleasant URL Another feature in mind currently is being able to set a custom "home" URL so atmo.lol/yourhandle would take you to s custom link too

for some reason I thought tangled already had a logo and it was something like this but I must have just pulled that out of thin air

Not to mention that the ambient light sensor just straight up does nothing on KDE, it only seems to work on GNOME

i dont even think we need to - conservatives already think they're "woke" or "communist" (real things i've heard _in person_)
