He has been saying this repeatedly. And he flew to the US to confirm that and Trump/Vance knew this. But that wasn't their plan...

... as well as the opportunity to look like the saavy dealmakers and righteous peace brokers that they keep claiming to be (but are clearly not).

You could imagine George Washington sitting there in Zelenskyy's place, in his battle uniform - being shouted down while he appealed that his country of right ought to be free and independent.

In Mr Putin’s Russia, people who disagree with him disappear or die or flee the country, or, at a statistically unlikely level, fall out of high windows somewhere in Moscow.” www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

22.7% of the U.S.A. voted for Trump. It's enough to win an election.... but it's not a majority.

Kamala Harris didn't say the "riots must continue", she said the "protests will continue". There's a difference: one is a breakdown of law and order, the other is a fundamental duty of every citizen in a democratic society; standing against oppression. I think Captain America would approve.

..but here's the thing. I just had a burger from Burger King. And however non exceptional that is, Musk cannot, no matter how much money he has, have a burger that is one million times better than what I just had. Sucks to be him.

It just occurred to me... this is exactly like saying "You shouldn't have an abortion because you have adoption as an option" or "Motherhood is such a life affirming experience." There might be better alternatives, but it is wrong to take away someone else's personal autonomy.

Don't knock it. If this is the place we idiots go to, well ... go away, then kudos to Trump. Four years of MTG (and Musk and Vivik) banging on about just efficiency (and nothing else) works for me. It's like the Cabinet in Idiocracy.

Meh... he didn't break Twitter. Now, if there's an elonmusk.bsky.app - the gloatiness will be too much to resist.

In 2017, a few hundred people turned up to his inauguration and he claimed it was the biggest ever - despite actual photos. This will be called "the greatest mandate ever" (do the voice - you know you want to). The actual numbers don't matter .... to him or his sycophants.

I'm sure Elon Musk will be on Bluesky soon. Might be worth a follow (or not).
